Pokemon Go is a game completely centered around its community, often requiring different players to collaborate and work together to complete different in-game tasks and events. This is the case with their latest limited-time event, the Fidough Fetch Event, tasking players with working together in exchange for different in-game bonuses and rewards.

The Fidough Fetch Event will last for about five days, taking place from Friday, January 3, 2025, at 3pm PST to Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 10pm PST. Below you can find all the details and tips regarding this event, including information on how to acquire Pokemon Go’s latest addition: Fidough.

Event Global Challenges

There will be Global Challenges to complete throughout this event, requiring the Pokemon Go Community to team up and work together to complete different in-game objectives. For this event, the Global Challenge will task the Pokemon Go Community with making Nice Throws.

Collectively making Nice Throws will unlock different reward levels, making different bonuses and features available with each level achieved. This includes unlocking Fidough in Pokemon Go, making its in-game debut with this event.

Once you have obtained Fidough, you will be able to evolve it into Dachsbun.

This will require the use of 50 Fidough Candy, obtained from catching and transferring different Fidough.

Event Bonus

There will only be one bonus available during this event outside the Global Challenge bonuses. During this event, you will have increased odds of encountering Shiny Voltorb and Shiny Electrike. You will have the chance of encountering these two Pokemon as wild encounters during this event.

Event Wild Encounter Pokemon

There will be six different event-themed Pokemon appearing in the wild during the Fidough Fetch Event. Make sure to log-in and play during this event window for a chance to encounter and catch one of the following Pokemon:

  • Voltorb
  • Electrike
  • Growlithe
  • Snubbull
  • Poochyena
  • Lillipup

Event Field Research Tasks

There will be Event Field Research Tasks available to claim during the Fidough Fetch Event. These can be obtained by visiting and spinning different PokeStop Photo Discs, requiring you to complete a specific task in exchange for an in-game reward.

Completing these Event Field Research Tasks will reward you with either Stardust, Poke Balls, Great Balls, and event-themed Pokemon encounters.
