Marvel Rivals 5 Best Team Compositions

With so many characters and so many options, a good team composition can make or break a match. Let’s look at some of our recent favorites!

Marvel Rivals is all about doing competitive six-versus-six team battles with powerful Heros to compete for objectives. Heros can have a huge variety of skills, some downright dwarfing others with just their abilities. With pure skill, these Heroes can overcome any strategy by the enemy team and tip the entire game balance. This is where the Cosmic Selection comes into play.

What Is Cosmic Selection In Marvel Rivals?

A glossary image explaining each rank of Marvel Rivals.

Cosmic Selection is a Hero ban system that is only valid on ranks above Diamond three. With the Cosmic Selection, each team can vote to ban Heros for the entire game, which won’t be available for the match.

Each player can vote for one hero at the start of the round to add characters to the banned slot. The hero with the highest number of votes gets banned.

This allows high-ranking players to develop more strategies in their games, avoid losing to uncounterable clever combo moves by multiple heroes, and avoid constantly getting one-shot by Hawkeye.

In tournaments, Cosmic Selection works a bit differently. Heros are selected exclusively by team leaders without the voting system. Each team leader can select two characters to be banned and one character to be protected from being banned by the enemy team.

Each team leader takes turns selecting the characters that go into the ban slot and the protected slot.

What Heroes Are Likely To Be Banned?

Hela, Hawkeye, and Doctor Strange are some characters that are likely to be picked in Cosmic Selection. Hawkeye can one-shot most damage-dealers, and healers with a headshot. Hela also does very high head shot damage. Doctor Strange’s portal is an extremely versatile skill and his ultimate skill can be used to easily turn the tides of battles.

Ultimately, what Heros are to be banned is up to the players’ choices. Also, it’s possible that more Heros could be selected for Cosmic Selection as more Heros are released in the future.
