Free Payday style FPS One Armed Robber adds seven new weapons

Payday 3 has come a long way since launch, but it’s yet to rival the highs of its predecessor. In the meantime, however, another free-to-play heist FPS is making a big name for itself on Steam, racking up an impressive ratio of 91% recommendations from more than 32,000 reviews. This is One-Armed Robber, a simple but surprisingly satisfying spin on the high-stakes combination of stealth and explosions. As 2025 rolls in, developer Duhndal follows up its recently introduced mansion mission with a fresh kit of seven new weapons, making now an ideal time to discover why it’s so beloved.

As the name suggests, One-Armed Robber is a heist-based FPS game with a clever twist. Your player characters can only use one arm, meaning you’ll have to carefully manage all your actions one by one. There’s a real physicality to everything that captures the truly frantic essence of the heist; you’ll have to put your weapon down to start loading wads of cash into a carry bag one after another, then drop your gun on top of them so you can carry the full bag carefully out as you make your escape.

One-Armed Robber is certainly something I’d recommend you try, and as a free Steam game you won’t have to convince your friends to buy it either. In a new update, Duhndal adds seven more weapons. You’ll get the MS950 and XN 1070 shotguns, the SP5 SMG, the N1A semi-automatic rifle, the IM1-G assault rifle, the UP99 automatic pistol, and a sawn-off shotgun, with those last two acting as secondary weapon options.

These are unlocked as you progress through the levels, and you’ll need plenty of cash to buy them. Fortunately, there’s also a newly added heist to check in on. In The Mansion Heist, you slip into the birthday party of its millionaire owner, who has just treated himself to a new state-of-the-art supercar. It’s fresh off the line, meaning his usual tracking software is yet to be installed, making it a perfect target – and of course, you can expect plenty of other valuables to be up for grabs about the house as well.

While the chaos of the celebration provides ample opportunities to exploit, you’ll have to deal with plenty of guard patrols, security cameras, and high-tech laser grids to make off with the loot. Fortunately, there are multiple points of entry, allowing you to choose your preferred route, and you can look to hack the security systems if you want a chance to turn things in your favor. Or just grab one of the new weapons and go in guns blazing; the choice is yours.

The latest One-Armed Robber update is out now, and you can play the game for free on Steam. The latest patch notes also include some minor fixes, along with improved weapon collision. Detonating C4 will now send NPCs flying, too, which should make for plenty of entertaining shenanigans when you decide to go loud.
