Summary
- After sharing their disgust for certain weapons from throughout Call of Duty’s history, fans took to Reddit to discuss the “prettiest” guns.
- Among their choices include the Black Ops Galil and the SCAR from Modern Warfare 2.
- Unlike the “ugly” guns, these weapons were in constant rotation by players.
Roughly a week ago here at TheGamer we wrote about the weapons in Call of Duty that gamers called ugly. These weapons were so ugly that some players even convinced themselves to never use them in-game.

You can play as a shark now, and that’s kinda awesome.
On the other side of the argument are weapons that look so good that it hurts to get them dirty with the blood of fallen NPCs. Once again taking to Reddit, COD fans discussed the “prettiest” guns in the series’ long-running history. It turns out, there are a ton of good-looking guns.
The Gold Galil Is Legendary
Immediately, fans cited the Galil, specifically the Gold variant, from the first Black Ops as one of the franchise’s “prettiest” guns. Not only is the Galil considered a good-looking gun, it’s also one of the weapons that fans want to see come back the most.
Elsewhere, the G36C from the original Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, AKA the game that started it all, was also given love. “That’s why it’s called G30-sexy,” a user cheekily commented in response.
Modern Warfare 2’s SCAR and ACR were also listed by gamers, with one player even sharing his preferred kit. “ACR with the red camo is my main to this day, it’s so nice looking,” they wrote.
Nostalgia is one heck of a feeling, and the thread has a noticeable lack of any modern weapons. That said, one brave user shared that the Honey Badger from Ghosts was their personal pick. Ghosts, of course, is one of the more divisive CODs in recent memory.
“That game had such good weapon designs and animations,” one user wrote in response. “Far ahead of its time.” Indeed, Ghosts has thawed over to be more appreciated in recent years.
Ultimately, only time will tell if, in several years, players will have the same level of sentiment or disgust when it comes to the weapons of the modern COD games. For now, though, it’s a fun trip down memory lane.
