Brawl Stars has announced a new plan for the 300 Pizza Slices compensation initially promised to all eligible players, due to delivery challenges. The dev team had promised this compensation in their maintenance update post, addressing all the issues that happened during the first day of the Pizza Planet Event.
Brawl Stars aims to provide the 300 Pizza Slices compensation by January 9, 2025
The Brawl Stars team took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and revealed that there facing some issues in delivering the promised compensation. The issues stem from the high number of eligible players and the in-game inbox’s limited support in handling these large numbers. They explained, “if we had used this method, the delivery could have taken up to 20 days to complete!” and that’s why they are exploring alternative options to deliver it.
The good news is that the Brawl Stars team is aiming to distribute this compensation by next week to all the eligible players after the new maintenance, most likely on January 9, 2025. Regarding players who purchased 250 Pizza Slices for 79 Gems, Supercell clarified, “should have already been delivered 250 Pizza Slices directly to claim from their inbox.“
Although they are working on finding alternatives, many fans are not happy with the compensation. They are complaining about the unfairness and suggesting that players who got lots of free slices due to a bug, should receive negative Pizza Slices, especially since they already bought a lot of offers from the Pizza Planet Shop. Meanwhile, other players will only receive the 300 Pizza slices.
However, the dev team explained, “Most players are not on social media and were unaware there was any problem with the event, so any kind of punishment felt wrong,” and said that they are not trying to justify the fairness, as they also had a time-limit to resolve the issues. I am just happy that they are actually trying to work on their mistakes and solving the issues so quickly, which deserves praise.
