Rinascita is a region that’s brimming with its own culture, and before it transitioned to using universal Shell Credits, it used Monnaie as its main form of currency. Wuthering Waves players won’t have to worry about their Credits becoming obsolete in Rinascita, but collecting Monnaie should still be something to consider.
Monnaie is an outdated currency that still holds value in Ragunna’s Averardo Bank, and if you want to get some additional rewards like Astrites in WuWa, then you’ll want to find as much Monnaie as you can. Here’s where you can find Monnaie and how to use them.

Where to Get Monnaie in Wuthering Waves
You can get Monnaie in chests (including Supply and Tidal Heritage chests) all over Rinascita, though these aren’t the only possible sources. Much like Wood-Textured Shards, Monnaie can also be given as rewards from quests. In general, if you want to get tons of Monnaie, you’ll want to explore every nook and cranny of Rinascita while beating monsters, solving puzzles, smashing pots, and completing activities.
Luckily, you can find treasure spots on your map while exploring Rinascita. These spots indicate a high concentration of treasure chests in the area — the best way to look for these chests is to equip the Sensor tool. Use Sensor while exploring a treasure spot, and it’ll mark any unopened chests for you. Apart from getting Monnaie, this is also a decent way to get materials for leveling characters like Carlotta in WuWa.
The map also shows the locations of challenges like Dream Patrols, which usually reward Tidal Heritage chests. The better you perform in these challenges, the more chests you receive, and the more resources you get overall.
Where to Use Monnaie in WuWa
Monnaie can be exchanged for goods at the Averardo Bank in Ragunna. Speak with Mercurio at the exchange window outside the bank to see all the items you can use your Monnaie on. Again, much like Wood-Textured Shards, you can use this special currency to buy a variety of items like Astrites, level-up and ascension materials, and even Shell Credits.
Much of the Averardo Bank’s catalogue is locked. You’ll need to collect 4,000 Monnaie to unlock the second set of items, and you’ll need to collect a whopping 8,000 Monnaie to unlock the rest.
Exchanging Monnaie can be a decent way to build your teams in WuWa. The activities that reward Monnaie don’t require you to spend any Waveplates, which means you can continue earning character materials even after you’ve spent all your energy for the day (as long as you keep earning Monnaie, that is).
