The VALORANT Agent 27 is surprisingly launching in less than a week and you might have missed this news because there haven’t been many teasers this time around. Despite the quiet release, we’re now luckily getting a bunch of teasers from Riot Games itself and the prominent leakers as well. Nationality and Role
VALORANT recently shared a video confirming that Agent 27 is from Colombia and will be an initiator. In the video, we could see the agent reaching for a device that looks similar to the one in the “Striking Distance” player card.
This device seems to activate when clicked into place, and based on the silhouette, the agent appears to be wearing some sort of gauntlet or tech on their left arm, which is likely connected to their abilities. They also grab a pair of flashy orange sunglasses, which are showcased in the video, suggesting they’ll play an important role in the agent’s abilities.
Teasers
In fact, you’ll be surprised to know that the first teaser came about two months ago with the release of the current battle pass. At tier 50, there’s a player card called “Striking Distance.” This card is usually a hint for upcoming agents, giving us a clue about their color scheme and some symbol or icon linked to their character.
In this case, the symbol looks like either a ship or an airstrike. The card was named “Glass TE” in the files, which could suggest that the agent is connected to something like invisibility or even uses glass in their abilities. However, it’s worth noting that the code name often doesn’t give away too much about an agent’s actual abilities.
Release Date and Abilities
We highly speculate that VALORANT Agent 27 will be released on January 10, 2025, as a part of the Episode 10 Act 1 update. However, at this point, nothing about the agent’s abilities is set in stone but we’ll likely get more hints soon.
