Honkai: Star Rail has partnered with KFC to launch exclusive merchandise in select locations throughout China. The collaboration was announced just in time for the highly-anticipated release of Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0.

Honkai: Star Rail is getting ready to launch Amphoreus, a new explorable planet where the Astral Express crew will meet the Chrysos Heirs. Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.0 goes live on January 15 and with it will come several new characters, challenges, and quality-of-life features. The first two new additions to the playable roster will be The Herta and Aglaea, while the Trailblazer is also acquiring a new playable Path. While Honkai: Star Rail has been focusing primarily on promoting Amphoreus content, the RPG has revealed plans to team up with a famous fast-food chain for a new limited merchandise line.

Honkai: Star Rail Should Avoid One Trope With Amphoreus’ Characters

Honkai: Star Rail’s Amphoreus chapter is inspired by Greek mythology, but it should steer clear of one predictable story trope.

During the Honkai: Star Rail 3.0 official livestream on Bilibili, the RPG announced a partnership with KFC to release exclusive merchandise of two beloved Xianzhou characters: Feixiao and Jiaoqiu. The collaboration is exclusive to China, though, and will begin on January 17. The campaign will offer badges and hanging cards of Feixiao and Jiaoqiu as well as some limited food items like the Jiaojiao sauce, a spicy tomato blend that references Jiaoqiu’s lore. The products will also have Honkai: Star Rail-themed packaging. This is the second time that KFC China has collaborated with HoYoverse’s RPG, as the two teamed up for a similar campaign in 2023. However, it’s not the game’s only big crossover for 2025, as Honkai: Star Rail partnered with major artist Lilas Ikuta of YOASOBI for Amphoreus’ musical theme.

Both featured characters are 5-star units from the Xianzhou Alliance roster. Feixiao is one of the best DPS in Honkai: Star Rail, so she is quite popular among players. She will also be featured on the Version 3.0 Phase 1 banners alongside The Herta, Lingsha, and Jade.

January is a busy month for Honkai: Star Rail. Aside from the KFC collaboration and the launch of Version 3.0, Honkai: Star Rail is releasing a PS5 physical edition with exclusive rewards. The Amphoreus storyline is expected to uncover some mysteries about March 7th and other characters, so the anticipation for this new chapter is high.
