The Savannah is an area in Romancing SaGa 2: Revenge of the Seven that players must visit while pursuing the Searching for the Mermaid quest. While it is not extremely difficult to enter this area, the way that it is accessed may not be immediately obvious. Players who want just a small push in the right direction should know that the Savannah is located to the southeast of the Cumberland region, and it is entered on foot.

Romancing SaGa 2: Savannah Location
Go to the Steppe
Players who are trying to reach the Savannah should begin by traveling to the Steppe. This area is situated just northwest of the Savannah, and there are several ways that fans of party-based RPGs can enter it:
Via Miles
- Visit the Ship in Somon and sail to Miles.
- Use the exit in the northeast corner of Miles to enter the Steppe.
Via the Great Wall
- Travel to Great Wall – Western Gate or Great Wall – Eastern Gate.
- Approach the gate and demand to be let through twice.
- Follow the path to enter the Steppe.
Go to Savannah
After entering the Steppe, players must make their way to its southeast corner. Here, JRPG fans will find an exit, and it leads directly into the Savannah. The exact location of that exit has been marked on the following map, and it should make it quite easy for fans to reach the Savannah.
The Steppe is a fairly open map that is filled with a variety of monsters to fight and items to collect. While some tactical RPG fans may opt to bypass all those monsters and items in order to reach the Savannah as quickly as possible, it can be useful to spend some time exploring the Steppe. Indeed, the items that are scattered across the map, and the weapon skill levels that can be earned by fighting its monsters, should make it easier to overcome the Savannah’s various challenges.
Romancing SaGa 2: Head to the Large Tree in the Savannah
Upon reaching the Savannah, players who are working on Romancing SaGa 2‘s Searching for the Mermaid quest should make their way to the southeast corner of the map. Here, fans will find the eggshell that they need for the mermaid potion, and they should be prepared to fight for it.
As with the Steppe, it is recommended that players spend some time exploring the Savannah’s open map while they are in the area. This is especially true if the player is also working on the Mystery of the Canal quest, as the path to Lake Wyringa is accessed via the Savannah.
