Gege’s message in the final volume could be hinting at a continuation of the JJK manga.
Similarly, the one surrounding Panda was set in a different era altogether, and it is safe to say that this was the most shocking one of all. This is simply because Panda’s epilogue was set in the year 2080, and around this time, the likes of Yuta, among others, were already quite old. Fans know for a fact that Yuta had accomplished quite a lot by this time in his life, and that he had attained tremendous strength, rivaling that of possibly even Gojo.
Yuta As The Head Of The Gojo Clan
- Yuta Became The Acting Head Of The Gojo Clan
- Yuta Was One Of The Strongest In The World
In the Panda epilogue, fans found out quite a lot of exciting information about the many characters from Jujutsu High. One of the most exciting things that fans came to know is that Yuta rose through the ranks greatly after the conclusion of the Shinjuku Showdown Arc and by the year 2035, he had already become the head of the Gojo Clan. To be more specific, Yuta was not the permanent head of the Gojo clan. Instead, it is believed that Yuta became the acting head of the clan, but the head nonetheless. This means that Gojo having died essentially led to Yuta taking this position, for one reason or another.
Are you really Yuta’s grandchildren? You lack manners! – Panda
Fans might be confused as to how Yuta could take this position despite not being a member of the Gojo family, but the answer has been revealed by the author in his own story long ago. Yuta and Gojo share the same ancestor in Michizane no Sugawara, and because of that, their blood might be similar, which is why Yuta ended up becoming the acting head of the Gojo clan. That’s certainly not all. Yuta was Gojo’s very own protege, and someone who cared about Gojo the most. Yuta carried out Gojo’s responsibility more than anyone else, and he was truly the only one who understood the burden of becoming the strongest. There was no character in JJK who cared about Gojo as much as he did, and if there was anyone who deserved to inherit this position, it was Yuta.
By the year 2080, Yuta had lived an accomplished life and grown into an old man, with grandchildren of his own. Clearly, the fact that Yuta’s beloved belongings were in the Gojo family storage unit meant that he was still the acting head of the family and that he played this role for a significant portion of his life. Not only does this mean that Yuta oversaw a tremendous rise in political power in the JJK world, but it also indicates that Yuta leveled up greatly in terms of strength as well. This also makes sense, given the fact that Gojo himself stated that Yuta had the potential to rival him in the future and surpass even Special Grade.
Yuta’s Limitless Potential
Yuta Okkotsu Could Match Gojo Satoru One Day
Yuta’s potential in JJK was limitless. The very first thing the fans need to keep in mind is that Yuta and Gojo share the same ancestor, which means that in a way, they have great potential woven into them. By the time of the Shinjuku Showdown arc, Yuta had not fulfilled this potential by any means. In fact, the last time Gojo and Yuta trained together, the former was quick to reprimand Yuta on his usage of cursed energy, telling him that he could still do far better and that his control over it was lacking in many ways. This is essentially proof of the fact that Yuta had not hit his maximum power level. At the same time, fans also know that Yuta could improve in terms of the application of cursed energy in many ways, and at the same time, strengthen his bond with Rika as well, making her stronger with him.
The next generation will not stop at Special Grade! – Gojo
That certainly is not to say that Yuta wasn’t strong during the Shinjuku Showdown. After all, he did earn the recognition of Sukuna as well. However, he still had a long way to go, which is why fans know that Yuta definitely strengthened himself further following the conclusion of the war.

Jujutsu Kaisen: How Nobara Could Match Yuji And Megumi
Nobara is one of the worst written JJK characters. Here’s how she could match the levels of Megumi and Yuji.
Yuta himself knew that he had to get stronger and this is because Gojo was no longer around. There always needs to be someone who sacrifices themselves by becoming the strongest, shields others, and at the same time, leads from the front, and this character is none other than Yuta.
It must also be remembered that Yuta has an incredible amount of copied Cursed Techniques, and he essentially holds a piece of everyone who he has copied and can utilize their techniques in effective ways, all the while improving upon them with time.
How Strong Was Adult Yuta?
Yuta Okkotsu Was Likely Comparable To Gojo Satoru
As an adult, Yuta was certainly stronger than any other sorcerer around, with Yuji being the only one capable of rivaling him. Yuta most likely managed to get to the next level by improving upon his cursed energy usage. This was something that Gojo suggested to him and with time, he likely gained a better grasp of. It must be remembered that Yuta was still quite young around the time of the Shinjuku Showdown, and far from reaching full maturity as a sorcerer. At the same time, Yuta’s bond with Rika was also likely to have strengthened, and together, these two must have made a stronger team than ever before. Yuta could also have improved upon his physical attributes, making him a very powerful sorcerer.
Another thing that many fans don’t take into consideration is the fact that Yuta spent quite a lot of time in Gojo’s body and, most likely, figured out quite a few secrets of cursed energy from his time inside. It is highly likely that Yuta later went on to apply what he learned to his own techniques, making him far stronger than he was before.
Yuta would certainly not have been accepted as the Clan had if he wasn’t strong enough. In fact, Yuta had to live up to the standards set by Gojo, and if he hadn’t met those standards, then the Gojo clan would most certainly have elected someone else from within their own ranks as the Clan Head. The fact is that Yuta was specifically chosen for this position despite not being directly connected to the Clan, and that only means they were compelled to make this decision based on his incredible strength and potential as the leader of the clan. Undoubtedly, by the year 2035, all the way up to the year 2018, Yuta was likely the strongest modern sorcerer, and effectively filled Gojo’s footsteps.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Epilogue was released with its Final Volume. JJK’s Final volume is out in Japan on December 25, 2024. The English version of the Volume will be published at some point in 2025.
