XP is essential to the Fortnite lifestyle thanks to the fact that players must level up in order to access further tiers in the Battle Pass to claim exciting rewards and more V-Bucks for their next in-game purchase. The standard level to reach is always Level 100 in Fortnite, which takes around 8,000,000 XP in total – yet, that number doesn’t have to seem so overwhelming, especially with plenty of time and plenty of ways to get XP fast.

Fortnite Battle Royale: Tips and Tricks to Victory
Struggling to get Victory Royale in Fortnite? Here are some essential tips and tricks that might just help players to win a match or more.
Fortnite has evolved into a Metaverse where there are plenty of ways to get XP fast, and each game mode has a specific method of obtaining XP, so players can look below to see the difference in XP levels with varying playtime, methods, and time to know just how to level up fast in Fortnite.
How Much XP Does Fortnite Battle Royale / Zero Build Provide?
- Playtime XP: 24,000 XP every 15 minutes
- Maximum Playtime XP per day: 240,000 XP (150 minutes)
Fortnite’s most popular mode, Battle Royale, can earn players a decent amount of XP through a variety of different ways. Most commonly, players will earn XP by opening chests, eliminating opponents, surviving storm circles, and acquiring a Victory Royale. However, there are more efficient ways to earn XP within Battle Royale.
With each new season of Fortnite Battle Royale, players will have Weekly Quests and Story Quests to complete. These quests can provide players with a fast way to get 25,000 XP per quest, and usually, each week has 5 quests. To further XP gains, players will also have Daily XP challenges and Accolades to complete to provide themselves with fun ways to earn XP while playing the beloved Battle Royale.
How Much XP Does Fortnite OG Provide?
- Playtime XP: 7,000 XP every 10 minutes
Fortnite OG brings players back to the Chapter 1 island, and while it more or less is just a straightforward Battle Royale experience through nostalgic eyes, XP gains can still be extended thanks to the Season 1 Greatest Hits, which provide 20,000 XP per quest completion – and they aren’t exactly hard to complete.
Outside of the Greatest Hits quests, players can earn a small amount of playtime XP, as well as enjoy the standard XP rates for surviving storm circles, eliminating opponents, and looting through chests. Fortnite OG isn’t the best way to get XP, but the methods are indeed there.
How Much XP Does LEGO Fortnite Odyssey Provide?
- Playtime XP: 51,000 XP every 10 minutes
- Maximum Playtime XP per day: 765,000 XP (150 minutes)
LEGO Fortnite has rebranded to LEGO Fortnite Odyssey, and while it’s essentially the same thing, along with its open-world sandbox and creative maps, there are some extended XP gains to note. Each season provides new weekly quests, like the Eye of the Storm, which features rather simple tasks for players to complete to earn 25,000 XP per quest.
LEGO Fortnite Odyssey also provides a whopping 51,000 XP every 10 minutes, up to 2 and a half hours, meaning that in 150 minutes of playtime (not through AFK) players will have earned just under 10 levels, which is a large amount considering not a single quest needs to be achieved to earn that bonus every single day.
How Much XP Does LEGO Fortnite Brick Life Provide?
- Playtime XP: 30,000 XP every 10 minutes
LEGO Fortnite Brick Life doesn’t provide the best amount of XP, and while they can earn 30,000 XP every 10 minutes through playtime, the only other way to earn XP will be through Daily Quests which can only provide 1,000 XP per quest. It’s a fun mode, but not the most efficient for those who want to farm up XP.
How Much XP Does Fortnite Festival Provide?
- Playtime XP: 4,000 XP every 10 minutes
- Maximum Playtime XP per day: 80,000 XP (200 minutes)
Fortnite Festival has plenty of ways for players to earn XP, with the most common being that of playtime. As long as players are active on the Main Stage, they can grab 4,000 XP every 10 minutes. While this only extends to one level-up per day, the real XP gains come from the seasonal quests with Kickstart Quests, Weekly Quests, and Prestige Quests.
Weekly Quests can provide an easy source of 7,000 XP just by playing the game, and Kickstart Quests provides 10,000 XP for the same methods. Fortnite Festival is a chilled-out mode where players can enjoy their favorite songs, but it shouldn’t be used as the sole source of XP throughout the season due to its low gains.
How Much XP Does Fortnite Reload Provide?
- Playtime XP: 30,000 XP every 15 minutes
Fortnite Reload is a fast-paced variant of Battle Royale that provides players with smaller maps, fewer players, and plenty of opportunities to respawn and get back into the action. Players can earn 30,000 XP every 10 minutes of playtime to a total of 2.5 hours every day, which provides a high count of XP that only extends further once players realize their astronomical XP gains from opening chests and eliminating players, to which they might find themselves doing quite a lot considering the potential respawns. It’s a fun and fast way to earn XP for weekly gains.
How Much XP Does Fortnite Ballistic Provide?
- Playtime XP: 25,000 XP every 10 minutes
Fortnite Ballistic is a more intense mode in Fortnite that allows players to engage in highly contested first-person action. Teams vs teams face off in different maps, and the average player might get around 20,000 – 35,000 XP per game, based on the number of eliminations, objectives, and daily playtime they achieve. While Fortnite Ballistic isn’t the greatest way to level up, it’s a fresh method outside of the usual Battle Royale.
How Much XP Does Rocket Racing Provide?
- Each Race: 5,000 XP
- Each Speedrun Match: 10,000 XP
Rocket Racing hasn’t seen much love from the community and Epic Games, and while new tracks seem to be lacking release, new vehicles in the Item Shop do not. Heading into the turbo power of Rocket Racing, players can grab themselves a fairly consistent amount of XP thanks to 5,000 XP earned through completing races, regardless of first place or not.
Players can also gain a pretty meaty method of XP with Rocket Racing’s weekly quests, which provide 15,000 XP for simple actions, and completing each tab of weekly quests provides an additional amount of 40,000 XP. Stacked to 8 weeks in total, with 6 quests per week, that’s a whopping 1,040,000 XP in total.
How Much XP Does Fortnite: Creative Provide?
- Playtime XP: 30,000 XP every 10 minutes
Fortnite Creative has a weekly cap of 4,000,000 XP, which is nearly enough for 5 levels. While the daily XP cap is around 560,000 XP, players can earn themselves 7 levels for the Battle Pass. There are many ways to acquire XP in Fortnite Creative, with some dedicated XP maps taking hold, or through simple playtime by enjoying the creative maps from the community. However, some stellar maps for XP gains come from elimination-heavy modes like The Pit by Greezerzy with the Island Code 4590-4493-7113.
How Much XP Does Fortnite: Save the World Provide?
Players who have Save the World can earn a pretty steady and farmable amount of XP within this PvE mode. There is a cap of 4,000,000 XP per week in Save the World, so players who want to farm efficiently can obtain 50 levels in 7 days. This is great for Save the World, as there is no daily XP cap, but a weekly one, so players can farm as much as they like.
The best method to earn XP in Save the World is by completing an Endurance at Wave 30, to which the XP gain per Endurance will be a whopping 441,125 XP. Most Save the World methods also focus purely on passive gains from AFK methods, and low-level attempts at Ride the Lightning and Retrieve the Data will easily see players earn almost 40,000 XP every 10 minutes.
