Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket has rolled out a fresh batch of premium rewards to kick off 2025. Players who subscribe to Pokemon Trading Card Game Pocket‘s Premium Pass service can enjoy new rewards for January centered around Fire-type Pokemon Moltres and Charizard.
Even though they’ve been around since the origins of the Pokemon franchise in the 1990s, Moltres and Charizard are still among the best Fire-type Pokemon around. With the release of the new premium content, the original Fire-type legendary and final evolution of the first Fire-type starter are in for a big month in DeNA’s mobile card battler.

As shared on the official in-app news tab, the new premium rewards in Pokemon TCG Pocket give players who are fond of First Gen Fire-type Pokemon new ways to enjoy them in the mobile game. Chief among these is a new Moltres ex promo card that players who subscribe to the Pokemon TCG Pocket Premium Pass will receive upon their first login of the year. This card behaves exactly like the existing Moltres EX card from the Genetic Apex series, boasting 140 HP, a one-energy Inferno Dance move that lets players add up to three Fire energy per round to any of their Pokemon, and a three-energy Heat Blast move that deals 70 base damage. However, this promo card features brand-new art, showing Moltres soaring out of its picture box with its beak open in a battle cry.

Pokemon TCG Pocket launched its Blastoise Drop Event on January 1, giving players a chance to challenge four Water-type decks in solo play for a variety of prizes. Each victory against one of these decks gives players the ability to win a single-card Promo-A Vol. 3 pack, which includes new promo versions of Blastoise, Snivy, Eevee, Volcarona, or Cinccino.
