The first Pokemon GO Community Day of the year is in just a few days, and it is going to be an exciting one since this is the first time this Pokemon has ever been featured on a Community Day with a debut Shiny. Not only will players have a chance to get a Shiny version of the Pokemon that is featured during Pokemon GO Community Days, but players will also be able to get other rewards.

This Sunday, players will see Sprigatito in Pokemon GO a lot more as it is the Community Day Pokemon, and for the first time ever, its Shiny will be available within the game. On Sunday, January 5th, 2025, from 2 P.M. until 5 P.M. local time, players will be able to purchase a ticket for this event starting at USD 1.00. Most players love this grassy cat for how cute it is and now players will be able to get a Shiny or even their first fully evolved version of it as well. During this event, players who also evolve a Floragato will also be given a few extra bonuses.

Those who purchase a ticket for the event will be able to have access to more exclusive rewards and also research tasks that they can push to complete all in one day or over time. While the few hours are active, players will see an increased spawn of only Sprigatitos. Players should make it since they are stocked up on berries and PokeBalls before the event begins, as players will be trying to catch as many as they can. Plus, players can transfer their Pokemon and get a lot of candy that way to be able to evolve many Pokemon.

Players have a chance to catch a Shiny Sprigatito, and the variant is available for all evolutions, including Floragato and Meowscarada. Some of the extra bonuses are that if the player also evolves as a Floragato during the event, then Meowscarada will learn the exclusive charged attack Frenzy Plant. Those who do get the Timed Research Ticket will receive tasks that they can complete, and if they do it within a week, the player could receive a Dual-Destiny-themed special background.

Here is a list of some extra bonuses that the player could be excited for:

  • x3 Stardust earned for catching Pokemon
  • x2 Candies earned for catching Pokemon
  • x2 chance for Trainers level 31 and above to earn Candy XL for catching Pokemon.
  • Incense (not including daily incense) that is activated during this event will last for 3 full hours.
  • Lure Modules that are used at PokeStops will work for the full 3 Hours.
  • Trades will cost less Stardust and players will be able to make an additional special trade during this event. Making the total number of special trades to 2.
  • Players should also take a few Snapshots during this event for a surprise as well.
