Pokemon GO’s next community day is about to start — Togetic Spotlight Hour! Here is everything to know about it.
Pokemon GO fan and Reddit user ChaosM3ntality shared a post with the community, asking if anyone else missed these unique cutscenes. In particular, the user highlighted those that were added to celebrate Shaymin in Land Form and Meloetta. Each Mythical cutscene is special to the individual Pokemon, with Shaymin’s cutscene showing the cute Mythical Pokemon scurrying along a flowery path to greet the player. Meloetta, on the other hand, got a special cutscene where the player is greeted with a scene of Meloetta singing onstage. Other Pokemon, like Jirachi (both its regular and Shiny versions), Diancie, and Shaymin’s Sky Form also got unique cutscenes. While the cutscenes ultimately have no impact on gameplay, many fans like ChaosM3ntality have lamented missing these cutscenes and wish there were more of them.
Pokemon GO Cutscenes are Enjoyable – Under the Right Circumstances
While players like ChaosM3ntality want more of these cutscenes, others feel that the amount in the game is fine as it is. Over the years, some Pokemon GO players have become fed up with the game’s cutscenes and wish that it was possible to skip them entirely, as players can’t proceed until the cutscene has come to an end. However, these particular cutscenes seem to bother those players less than most, as they are generally a one-time opportunity that celebrate a special encounter and don’t appear frequently, so they don’t slow down gameplay much.
The process of capturing Pokemon – even rare ones – can become stale and routine after players have encountered hundreds, if not thousands, of Pokemon in the game. It only seems appropriate for unique Pokemon like Legendaries, Mythicals, and perhaps even select Shinies with unique encounter requirements to get their moment before proceeding with the usual capture attempts. Whether Pokemon GO adds more of these cutscenes remains to be seen, but it seems many players would like more of them.
