The Prismatic Snapdragon, a new mount in World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7, has eight different color variations players can choose from. By collecting treats on the Siren Isle, World of Warcraft fans essentially get eight different mounts in one with the Prismatic Snapdragon.

The Siren Isle, the new endgame zone in World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7, contains tons of different rewards for players to collect, including several mounts. The Prismatic Snapdragon, a reptilian dog-like creature often seen in the company of the Naga, is one such mount, which fans can obtain by feeding a starving stray over the course of ten days.

World of Warcraft Adds New Way to Obtain Lost Legendary Items

World of Warcraft Patch 11.0.7 quietly adds a new way for players to obtain Legendary items they have lost or deleted over the last 20 years.

However, the best part of this particular mount doesn’t start until after players get it. Once the Prismatic Snapdragon has been added to their collections, fans can find Snapdragon Treats that change the mount’s color scattered across the Siren Isle. Exclusing the default teal color, there are seven different variations that can be collected as drops from specific monsters, treasure chests, quest rewards, or even some rare spawns in the new World of Warcraft zone. Once a type of treat has been discovered, players can purchase it again from Zexel Fingersnap in the Siren Isle base camp for five Flame-Blessed Iron.

How to Get the Prismatic Snapdragon Mount in World of Warcraft

  • Pick up A Lifeline quest from Zexel Fingersnap, a Goblin on a barrel surrounded by five Snapdragons in camp.
    • The quest only appears after completing the Siren Isle intro quest chain, ending with Uncovered Mysteries.
    • Zexel Fingersnap is not visible in the stormy instance of the Siren Isle.
  • Complete the daily quests from the Starving Snapdragon Runt for 10 days.

Color-changing mounts are not new to World of Warcraft. The Prismatic Starseeker cash shop mount rotates between three colors while in use, Ash’adar, Harbinger of Dawn – the Trading Post reward mount also available in Diablo 4 – swaps color based on the time of day, and the Shadowlands mount-contest-winning Wandering Ancient changes with the seasons. Customizable mounts like the Dragonriding drakes or the Delver’s Dirigible also have various color options, but none of them work quite like the Prismatic Snapdragon.

There are three other mounts players can obtain on the Siren Isle besides the Prismatic Snapdragon. Soweezi’s Vintage Waveshredder is a Goblin hoverboard available for 10,000 Flame-Blessed Iron, and The Breaker’s Song is a flying pirate ship World of Warcraft fans earn for finishing the Siren Isle meta achievement. Lastly, Thrayir, Eyes of the Siren – the storm crow mount players have wanted to obtain for over a decade – can be obtained by collecting five special keys whose fragments are dropped from mobs, rares, chests, and other sources.
