When it comes to powerful characters, Boruto certainly doesn’t have a lack of them. Given that the series is largely surrounding the Otsutsuki characters and other individuals around similar levels, fans know that the overall power level in Boruto is quite high. Out of the many Otsutsuki that fans have seen, Isshiki is, by far, the strongest, other than Shibai, who has never been seen properly in the story, and doesn’t exist as a mortal being right now.

But, while Isshiki was certainly impressive, it appears that Boruto has an even more impressive villain now who might be even stronger. His powers are astounding, and this character is none other than Jura.
Isshiki Otsutsuki’s Immense Powers In Boruto

When it comes to Isshiki, fans know that he was incredibly strong. As Jigen, Isshiki wasn’t all that impressive, especially considering the state that fans saw him in at first. In the battle against Naruto and Sasuke, he was certainly very impressive, but it must be remembered that he absorbed the chakra from 10 Tails in order to pull off what he did. Without this chakra, it is highly likely that he would have lost this battle. Jigen, while strong, wasn’t all that impressive, but Isshiki certainly was. When at his full strength, he was even stronger and his power was such that Naruto and Sasuke together could do absolutely nothing against him.

Naruto had to rely on utilizing the power of Baryon Mode to surpass him in battle, and had he not made such a massive sacrifice, it is highly likely that Isshiki would have succeeded in his plans and taken over the entire planet. Given that it was clear that he could single-handedly take down the entirety of the Ninja World, fans knew him to be a mighty powerful character. Using his Kokugan, he could utilize techniques such as Sukunahikona and Daikokuten, both of which are very powerful and exist beyond the realms of Six Paths Powers. Overall, Isshiki was a monstrously powerful individual and definitely not easy to beat at all.
At the end of things, however, Isshiki ended up falling, and much of that was down to Naruto utilizing Baryon Mode. Once Naruto tapped into this power, he was able to not just match but actually overwhelm Isshiki. Every single blow that they competed for, Naruto won. While Naruto did the heavy lifting, it was Kawaki who delivered the final blow in this battle, essentially forcing Isshiki to disintegrate. With Isshiki’s death, it was clear that Boruto needed a better and stronger antagonist moving forward, and this was seen by the writers through the character of Jura.
Jura Appears To Be Even Stronger Than Isshiki
Jura’s Strength Is Unmatched
Jura is an immensely powerful character. He was first introduced as a Shinju to the fans in Two Blue Vortex. When the Claw Grimes started attacking people, fans found out about the concept of people turning into trees. Those who turned into trees had their chakra drained, and through their chakra signature, a unique individual was born, called a Shinju. These Shinju are very powerful, and out of them all, Jura is the strongest. Usually, the shinju have a parent body that they take after. For example, Hidari is a very powerful Shinju who is modeled after Sasuke and is created from his chakra, which is why they share so many similarities. Similarly, Ryu is based on Shinki, as fans saw in the manga recently, and Mamushi, who is certainly the most underwhelming of all, is based on Bug.
Naturally, one would imagine that Jura is based on someone similar. A lot of the fans believed that Jura was based on Isshiki Otsutsuki, with some pointing fingers at Jigen as well. But, it was later confirmed in the Boruto series that Jura is actually the incarnation of the Ten-Tails itself, which means that it does not have a parent body, making it unique when it comes to the Shinju.

Of course, this isn’t enough to confirm that Jura is stronger than even Isshiki. But, that confirmation essentially comes from none other than Kashin Koji. As fans saw previously, Koji clearly mentions in the story that defeating Jura is nearly impossible. In fact, according to him, the chances of defeating Jura even when everything goes right is about 1 in a million. Thus just goes to show that taking him down isn’t easy.

Comparing this to Isshiki, fans knew that Naruto and the others stood a chance at beating him and this was largely down to the fact that they had Naruto’s Baryon Mode. Had it not been for Naruto, Isshiki would have destroyed everyone and taken over the world. That said, there appears to be a villain even stronger in the Boruto series now, and fans know him to be Jura. The idea of Jura being stronger than Isshiki isn’t outlandish. In fact, his being stronger is essentially confirmed already by Kashin Koji, who stated that even with the best-case scenario, the chances for them to beat Jura as about one in a million. This is a very low percentage, and certainly smaller than the chances that Naruto would have had to defeat Isshiki Otsutsuki by himself.
Who Will Defeat Jura?
It Is Possible That Boruto Will Beat Jura
Jura’s level of strength is still going up. Fans have not seen him go all out, and at the same time, he possesses incredible abilities already. Jura can only grow higher in terms of power level, and when that happens, fans will see him potentially getting close to the god of the world, Shibai. Not only does he possess the power of two distinct Rinnegan, but he also has other abilities, such as shooting lasers from his eyes by compressing the Tailed Beast Balls. Fans will see him in action soon enough, and it will be clear as to what his limits truly are like.
So far, he has already proven himself to be very impressive, potentially being even stronger than Isshiki, but fans truly need to see his showing of strength moving forward.
