In a game like Wuthering Waves where new characters are released periodically, it’s normal for units to go up and down in the meta. Take Jianxin, for example. She started out misunderstood and ranked low, then once players understand that she’s better as a support, she rises in the tier list. However, later on, she gets outshined by shiny new Resonators.
Being a character that can do everything also means you’re not the best at anything. That puts Jianxin in a weird spot where players can always find better characters to include in their teams. However, Jianxin’s Outro Skill sometimes saves her because of how incredible her Resonance Liberation damage bonus is. Here are some examples of viable Jianxin team comp in WuWa.

Wuthering Waves: Lumi Team Composition Guide
Lumi is able to fit in a variety of teams as a main DPS character in Wuthering Waves.
Jianxin + Calcharo + Verina
Jianxin + Calcharo + Verina is one of the first teams in Wuthering Waves, where it consists purely of Standard Banner Resonators. Calcharo is a nice 5-star unit who can deal decent damage if he gets enough support from his team. As Calcharo heavily relies on his Resonance Liberation, Jianxin comes in to maximize that type of damage for him.
Jianxin shouldn’t operate as a shielder on this team since Verina is more than enough for the team’s survival. Instead, she operates as a Sub-DPS, so make sure to build her to deal damage with her Resonance Liberation and heavy attacks.
Team Role
- Jianxin: Sub-DPS, buffer
- Calcharo: Main DPS
- Verina: Support, buffer, healer
Jianxin + Xiangli Yao + Yinlin
In this Jianxin team, she mostly operates as a support who offers her team sustainability through her shield and minor healing. Not only that, but Xiangli Yao is a strong DPS who primarily relies on his Resonance Liberation to deal damage. So, taking Jianxin’s Resonance Liberation buff is huge for him.

Camellya team comp in Wuthering Waves should enhance her Basic Attack focus.
On the other hand, Yinlin can also deal a lot of damage through her Ultimate while offering an Electro DMG and Resonance Liberation buff. She works better when hitting multiple enemies at once, so she needs Jianxin to pull enemies into one place as she buffs her Ultimate. In conclusion, this team is very versatile, with all characters able to switch in and out while buffing each other.
Team Role
- Jianxin: Support, buffer, shielder, healer
- Xiangli Yao: Main DPS
- Yinlin: Sub-DPS, buffer
Jianxin + Havoc Rover + Baizhi
As a lot of players have most of the Standard Banner’s characters in Wuthering Waves, it’s only fair to build an F2P team around Jianxin. In this team, Havoc Rover will mostly depend on their Resonance Liberation to deal damage, buffed by Jianxin’s Outro Skill. With both Jianxin and Havoc Rover rotating to deal damage, you still need a healer. For that, Baizhi is a decent F2P 4-star support who can buff and heal allies.
The team’s rotation starts with Baizhi, who increases everyone’s damage through her kit and Rejuvenating Glow’s Echo set. Next, Jianxin enters to deal damage and build up her Concerto Energy. Finally, Havoc Rover takes the field with both Baizhi and Jianxin’s support to enjoy their buffs.
In comparison to other teams that are heavy on 5-star units in Wuthering Waves, this team can’t deal as much damage. However, with Jianxin operating as a Sub-DPS, this team can still clear some endgame content.
Team Role
- Jianxin: Sub-DPS, buffer
- Havoc Rover: Main DPS
- Baizhi: Support, buffer, healer
