Summary
- Elden Ring Nightreign fans are writing up their wishlists for which FromSoftware bosses they would like to see return.
- It was confirmed that Dark Souls enemies will be in Elden Ring Nightreign, and many are hoping iconic Dark Souls 2 bosses like Fume Knight and Ivory King make it in.

Elden Ring Nightreign was one of the best announcements at The Game Awards this month, which only got better once we saw our favorite Nameless King flying around on a dragon. In the days following the announcement, it was confirmed that Elden Ring Nightreign will include various enemies from the Dark Souls series, and it appears as though that includes some bosses.
Given that we only saw a fraction of the enemies we’ll likely face on our unique little jaunt across Limgrave, we can assume that there may be even more bosses from Dark Souls past waiting in the wings. That has led many fans of the series to cross their fingers and hope their favorite Dark Souls boss is included, which is a topic that was recently discussed on the Elden Ring subreddit.
Elden Ring Nightreign Fans Want The Ivory King And Fume Knight To Return
In a post earlier this month, a user called DJ_Caan asked fellow Elden Ring fans which bosses they’d like to see return, and the comments were unsurprisingly quite varied. What is surprising is the amount of love for Dark Souls 2, as quite a few bosses from the black sheep of the Souls series are mentioned as potential candidates.
For example, a user called Weak_Big_1709 wants to see a revitalized Ivory King, along with a congregation of Loyce Knights, all in their prime and ready to throw down. In a similar vein, another user called Lingjoshua18 would like to see either Sir Alonne or the Fume Knight return in some capacity, claiming Elden Ring Nightreign is a great opportunity to “give DS2’s best DLC bosses a chance to shine again.”

Dark Souls Is So Much Easier After Elden Ring
Elden Ring’s faster-paced combat makes Dark Souls feel like you’re playing in slow-motion.
Another very popular choice is Sister Friede from Dark Souls 3, while Ornstein and Smough from the first Dark Souls also get a couple of nodes here and there. Of course, there are also some Bloodborne fans in the replies after my own heart, hoping for the return of either Orphan of Kos or Lady Maria, the latter of which people think is actually in the trailer.
There’s definitely plenty of room for FromSoftware to experiment, thanks to years of cranking out bangers, and the fact that The Nameless King is confirmed to be in the game makes pretty much any prediction at least feasible. What we can guarantee is that the return of any boss will mean we’ll be spread across the floor all over again. At least we’ll be pummeled alongside some good friends this time.
