As the Magistrate of Jinzhou, Jinshi is a prominent figure in Wuthering Waves’s early storyline, and as of the version 1.1 update, she becomes playable. She’s intended to be used as a main DPS character that focuses on Resonance Skill. Alongside Verina and Spectro Rover, she is currently the only other Spectro character that can be played, making her quite useful in content where utilizing this element is beneficial.

Updated on January 2, 2025, by Elara Leclair: With the launch of Wuthering Waves’ version 2.0 update, Jinhsi receives a long-awaited rerun, along with a stunning new premium skin themed around peach blossoms. This presents a perfect opportunity for players to revisit their Jinhsi builds and optimize her performance if they haven’t done so in a while. While Rinascita introduces new echo sets and Overworld bosses now feature Nightmare variants, players might wonder if Jinhsi can take advantage of these new build options. Here’s everything players need to know about Jinhsi’s build from version 2.0 onwards.

Jinhsi Best Echoes In Wuthering Waves
The best Echo for Jinshi in Wuthering Waves is undoubtedly the 5pc Celestial Light, while also sharing the same main stat priorities with Spectro Rover. Considering that Jinhsi will also be using her Intro and Outro skill quite often, as her Unison ability will allow players to not use Concerto energy when Unison is available, this will also allow her to benefit from a 5pc set bonus essentially infinitely if players are able to use character rotations right.
Nevertheless, since getting a 5pc set bonus with ideal sub-stats can be challenging, it is also possible to utilize Lingering Tunes for the time being. Considering, however, that Jinshi doesn’t benefit from ATK stat as much as most other DPS characters do, as her scaling is more reliant on Resonance Skill boosts, ultimately, players should aim for a full set of Celestial Light. Here are the set bonuses both sets provide:

When it comes to the Echo distribution, players should ideally aim for obtaining the new Calamity Class Echo, being Jué, instead of Mourning Aix, as it’s Main Echo skill benefits Jinhsi the most. However, if players already have a Mourning Aix with a suitable main stat (Crit Rate / Crit DMG) and ideal sub-stats (Crit Rate / Crit DMG > Resonance Skill > Basic ATK > ATK), it is certainly suitable until players can acquire Jué.
For the rest, players are recommended to use a 4-3-3-1-1 combination for Echoes, with the 3-cost Echoes being Spectro DMG and 1-star Echoes being ATK% main stat. If players have been unable to obtain good pieces from the 3-cost Echoes, however, 4-4-1-1-1 can also work out, but it is much less ideal.

Wuthering Waves: Should You Pull For Jinhsi Or Changli?
Both having a similar DPS oriented style, might make players indecisive on who to select while saving up resources.
While some characters, like Spectro Rover, have had their kits updated to apply Spectro Frazzle, Jinhsi has not yet received such an upgrade. This means she cannot benefit from the new Eternal Radiance echo set or the Nightmare: Mourning Aix bonuses.
Jinhsi Best Weapons In Wuthering Waves
The best weapon for Jinshi is the Ages of Harvest, a limited weapon available alongside her banner as her signature weapon. This weapon not only boosts her Crit Rate, giving players room to focus more on Crit DMG over Crit Rate, especially for sub-stats, but it also increases the Elemental DMG bonus of the wearer and further enhances Resonance Skill DMG after acquiring stacks through Basic ATKs.
For players who haven’t obtained her BiS, options such as Jiyan’s signature weapon, Verdant Summit, or other DPS-oriented broad blades used by characters like Calcharo or Jiyan work well. This allows players to easily swap these weapons between these characters in the Tower of Adversity if they wish to do so.
For players looking for 4-star, particularly F2P options, both Broadblade #41 and Waning Redshift will perform similarly, offering slightly higher DMG potential than other 4-star options like Helios Cleaver or Autumntrace. Overall, the DMG potential and utility provided by all these 4-star options are quite comparable.
Jinhsi Forte Priority In Wuthering Waves
Being a DPS character that particularly makes good use of her Resonance Skill by sending her to Incarnation state, which then increases her DMG modifiers through Forte Circuit, it’s recommended that players focus on these primarily. Nevertheless, as a DPS character, Jinhsi will benefit from utilizing each part of her kit while also taking a good amount of time on the field, so players should aim to level all of them as much as possible, including her inherent skills.
