Several rare Fortnite skins could be on the way back soon. With exclusivity no longer a thing for the vast majority of outfits, it’s fair to assume that all skins will come back eventually. However, the longer Epic Games takes to put them back in the Item Shop, the more uncommon they are. Some skins that have been gone for hundreds of days are poised for a return. Here’s what we know.
Rare Fortnite Skins Get Updates in Game Files
Whenever Epic Games updates a Fortnite skin, it means it’s probably coming back at some point. This is usually to make sure they’re up to the latest standards and that their animations or graphics align with new gameplay mechanics. For example, some old skins need to have the barrel roll animation.
Whatever the reason, a few rare skins that have been missing for a long time were updated recently. These include:
- Wonder Woman, last seen 438 days ago
- Patrick Mahomes, last seen 469 days ago
- Fatal Fielders Bundle, last seen 171 days ago
- Kane and Cutipie, last seen 365 days ago
- Reina, last seen 389 days ago
These should all make their way back to the shop eventually, giving players the chance to purchase them. In some instances, these have been absent for more than a year. No one knows when a skin will leave the shop and especially when they’ll be back, so those who missed out can take advantage this time.
This does not conclude the Arcane skins which have been gone for over 1,000 days. A recent update by a League of Legends executive suggests that they could also return. Epic Games has brought back a lot of old, rare Fortnite skins like Renegade Raider and the Master Chief skin recently, so it’s no surprise that the above skins are coming back after extended absences.
There are also rumors about the Naruto skins and Invincible cosmetics coming back. Keep in mind that this is all leaked, so it’s not guaranteed. Additionally, there’s no timetable for when these skins will come back if they do.
