Pokemon GO: Togetic Spotlight Hour Guide

Pokemon GO: Togetic Spotlight Hour Guide

With the final week of 2024 coming to a close, Pokemon GO is having its last Spotlight hour of this year. The game is known for hosting many events each month, including things like Max Mondays and even weekly raids, but one of its most special events is the weekly Spotlight hour, which highlights certain Pokemon and gives the player a chance to get a Shiny and also bonus rewards.

During these weekly events, players have the opportunity to not only get more candies to evolve and boost their Pokemon, but also get Shiny variants of them — and bonuses to earn more candies, XP, and even sometimes get special movesets during Community Days as well. Pokemon GO has lots for its players to do. However, this guide will go over everything to know about the Togetic Spotlight Hour.

This week’s Spotlight Hour takes place on Tuesday, December 31st, 2024, from 6 PM to 7 PM Local Time. The Spotlight Hour Pokemon for this week is Togetic, which is a classic Pokemon familiar to many longtime Pokemon fans. However, players will need a few things for this Spotlight hour to be best prepared for it.

As always, during each Spotlight Hour, players should stock up on Pokeballs, Incense, and Berries, all of which are super important to help the player make the most out of this last Spotlight Hour to catch the most of these Pokemon and increase their chances of getting a Shiny. This week’s bonus is also x2 XP for evolving Togetic. This means that players should store up their candy and try to evolve Togetic as many times as possible during the event to get the most out of the XP during the event in Pokemon GO.

Togetic is found to be #0176 within the Pokedex and is from Johto (Generation 2). This Pokemon is also found to be a second evolution. The first evolution is Togepi, which can be evolved into Togetic for 25 candies, then Togetic to Togekiss for 100 candies (and a Sinnoh Stone). Togetic is also a Fairy and Flying Type, which means it is weak to Electric, Ice, Poison, Rock, and Steel-Type Pokemon (160% Damage), while also taking lighter damage from Dark Type and Grass Type (63% Damage). Bug, Dragon, Fighting, and Ground-Type Pokemon deal even less damage (39% Damage). Togetic also has 1931 CP (Combat Power), 139 Attack, and 181 Defense.

The best moveset for this Pokemon is Fairy Wind and Dazzling Gleam, giving 8.45 DPS (Damage Per Second) and 109.60 TDO (Total Damage Output). These moves can be boosted with the weather boost when the Pokemon is in Cloudy Weather.

Catching Togetic will give the player 5 candies and 300 Stardust.

There is a shiny version of this Pokemon available. The only difference between the regular and shiny is that the symbols on its chest will be inverted. This means that instead of seeing a red triangle, you will see a blue triangle on its chest.
