As long-time Dragon Age fans know, Thedas is supposed to have two moons. But as these fans will also know, BioWare seems to pretty much always forget this, typically omitting the second moon, Satina.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is no exception, once again only showing us a single moon in the night sky. So, it’s once again fallen on a fan to add Satina into the game, restoring Thedas’ double moons in all their glory.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard Player Adds In The Second Moon
One day, a Dragon Age game will remember Satina exists, I’m sure
Nexus Mods user Aimryax has come to the rescue this time, creating a mod for Dragon Age: The Veilguard that adds a second, smaller moon to the night sky that we see in-game. It follows on from similar mods made for Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age: Inquisition, because Satina really can’t catch a break, it seems.

Why does getting the best ending rely less on my decisions and more on how long I’ve played?
The mod should work in all the areas where the moon, or rather, moons now, are visible in the base game. Perhaps next time, BioWare will remember that Satina does, in fact, exist according to the series’ own lore. Either that, or Satina just happens to be behind the larger moon all the time, and we never get to see it. In which case, how do the people of Thedas know about it?
A celebration in Thedas, Satinalia, is named after this second moon, making its absence in the games all the more confusing.
Since launch, fans have created and shared a whole lot of mods for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. This can range from adding in a reference to the Hero of Ferelden that actually uses their name, to even creating makeshift New Game Plus, so you can play through again with everything already unlocked.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the long-awaited fourth game in the fantasy RPG series from BioWare formerly known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. A direct sequel to Inquisition, it focuses on red lyrium and Solas, the aforementioned Dread Wolf.
