One talented Borderlands fan has put together a cosplay of the new Siren set to be introduced in Borderlands 4. First announced in March, Borderlands 4 is a forthcoming FPS title coming to the PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S platforms in 2025.
For Borderlands fans, 2024 has been an eventful year, to say the least. For starters, in March, Borderlands creator Gearbox Software was sold by Embracer Group to Rockstar Games-parent Take-Two Interactive in a deal worth USD 460 million. Concurrently, the next Borderlands title was confirmed to be in the making, before getting a teaser in August at Gamescom 2024. Most recently, it received a full trailer at The Game Awards 2024 on December 12, revealing some of the game’s characters, such as the new Siren. Making the most of the little screen time the new Siren got in Borderlands 4‘s first look, one dedicated fan took notes and impressively came up with an early cosplay of the character.

On Reddit, user jessilyncupcake shared their cosplay of Borderlands 4‘s new Siren, depicting the character in great detail. From the purple hair to the black trench coat to the unique pair of pants, they recreated every trait seen in the trailer for their cosplay. As it appears from the pictures, makeup was used to incorporate the distinct Borderlands art style and also for creating the Siren’s pink tattoos. In one of their replies, jessilyncupcake revealed that this particular portrayal is their 20th Borderlands cosplay, highlighting their experience that seemingly came into play while recreating the new Siren’s look.
Borderlands 4 Siren Cosplay Impresses Series Fans, Garners Praise
Jessilyncupcake’s cosplay depicting the new Siren, one of Borderlands 4‘s freshly revealed characters, received several positive responses from the community. Fans of the series praised the work, calling it “awesome” and “incredible.” On the one hand, comments noted the passionate Borderlands fan’s early cosplay of the newly revealed character, with one of them saying, “We don’t even know the character’s name and [sic] she’s already got cosplays.” On the other hand, some comments gave their approval of the cosplay’s accuracy, with one user saying that it “blends real and cartoon.”
Although Borderlands 4‘s release year is planned to be 2025, there is little to no idea about when it may launch exactly. However, a recent Take-Two report further narrowed down its release date, suggesting that there may still be quite a few months to go before the game rolls out. Regardless of when the new Borderlands game launches, many players are expected to be excited about it given that fans have waited for around five years for a sequel to 2019’s Borderlands 3.
