It’s a shame, since the charming visuals, memorable characters, and an engaging story helped Ar Tonelico stand out as a satisfying conclusion to this trilogy. The combat system may not have witnessed too many advancements, but that’s a minor complaint in the grand scheme of things.

White Knight Chronicles 2 is a game jam-packed with content. Not only does it let players embark on another grand adventure full of memorable quests, but it also comes packed with a remastered version of the first game for players who missed out.
It’s a crying shame that this labor of love isn’t available on any console except for the PS3. The story is quite cliched, but the improvements made to combat more than makeup for it as players carve their way through numerous foes and become stronger in the process.

While it’s true that Demon’s Souls has a remake that makes the title look better than ever before, graphical fidelity isn’t the only thing that matters for a video game. The PS3 release of this title is dripping with the dark, brooding atmosphere that most people expect from a FromSoftware game.
Bluepoint Games’ remake is a huge improvement in most areas, but some changes to the enemy design, the remastered soundtrack, and some environmental changes lose a lot of what made the original game so sinister. Unfortunately, the original version of Demon’s Souls will forever remain a PS3 exclusive, so most newcomers will be restricted to the remake if they want to enjoy a game that set the foundation for the Dark Souls trilogy to become a household name.
