Pokemon TCG Pocket has an abundance of Psychic cards to choose from. It has a good source of Energy acceleration with Gardevoir and a heavy hitter like Mewtwo ex. Mythical Island adds even more options to strengthen some of your best Psychic decks.

Pokemon Pocket: 10 Best Cards From Mythical Island
You’ll want to get your hands on plenty of these cards, the best to come out of Pokemon Pocket’s Mystical Island expansion.
With powerful ex Pokemon that can utilize the Moves your opponent has, to new Evolution lines that can heal your entire team, Psychic continues to deliver amazing cards for its type. So, which of the Psychic Pokemon found in Mythical Island are the cream of the crop, and which ones are literally just cream?
10
Swirlix
A Beginner-Friendly Psychic
Swirlix is not the toughest line in the Psychic Pokemon lineup. However, it has its merits as a beginner-friendly option. It is easy to pull from packs and has only one Stage to go into from there.
Because it is a Fairy Pokemon, it is weak against Steel instead of the usual Darkness. With no Steel-types in Mythical Island to improve the pool, Swirlix won’t need to worry about a bad type matchup as often as some of the other Psychic Pokemon in the game.
9
Slurpuff
A Quick And Easy Pokemon To Use
When you Evolve Swirlix, it becomes a Slurpuff. Again, this line has no special Abilities, with all of its capabilities funneled into its stats. Slurpuff has 100 HP and can hit your opponent’s Pokemon with Magical Shot to deal 60 damage.

Pokemon Pocket: All ex Cards From Mythical Island, Ranked
Ex Pokemon are some of the strongest in Pokemon Pocket, and these cards from Mythical Island are all quite good.
Like its previous Evolution, it is only weak against Steel Pokemon, making it a good option if you run into a bad type matchup and need to smack your opponent’s Pokemon before they devastate your main hitters. There are better Pokemon to run, but if it is your first deck, then Slurpuff is a neat option that can last more than one turn against Pokemon like Pikachu ex or Starmie ex.
8
Mew
An Elusive Card Made Easier To Get
While Mew can be obtained by completing the Genetic Apex set, Mythical Island makes it easier to get by making it part of the set, minus the fancy full art style. This Mew has 60 HP and can perform Psy Report for one Energy.
Psy Report does 20 damage and lets you look at your opponent’s hand. This can be good for gathering intel on what Evolution pieces your opponent currently has. It can also be a good way to predict what their Supporter and Item options are.
7
Sigilyph
A Meowth Alternative
Sigilyph is a Meowth alternative that works best in Psychic decks. Sigilyph may not have the option to Evolve, but it has 20 more HP than Meowth, making it a more durable option. You also get to take advantage of damage buffs from type matchups.

Pokemon Pocket: Every Item Card, Ranked
Don’t discount the power of these Item cards; they can truly change the tide of battle in an instant.
If you’re running any other type of deck, Meowth is still the best choice. However, if you’re going to go the Psychic route, Sigilyph is a better choice since it just synergizes better with the rest of the decks.
6
Elgyem
A Small Step Towards Psychic Aggression
Elgyem is another barebones Basic Pokemon with 60 HP and a Move that does 20 damage for one Energy. However, as a Pokemon with only one Evolution after it, it is a surprisingly good line if you’re looking for quick damage.
Elgyem is weak against Darkness Pokemon. However, the type is still hard to run into. The good thing about Elgyem is that once you give it a single Energy, you no longer need to give it any more to prepare for its next Stage.
5
Beheeyem
Ramping Up Damage
Beheeyem is a great Stage One Pokemon to go into when your opponent stacks up their Bench. This is because it can do an additional 20 damage for each Pokemon your opponent has waiting in the back.

Here are the best single-point decks in Pokemon TCG Pocket!
This means Beheeyem can do up to 70 damage for only a single Energy. While there are some Psychic Pokemon that can deal more damage or around the same, Beheeyem does it cheaply as long as the conditions are met. This makes it a pretty aggressive Pokemon for the Psychic collection.
4
Flabebe
A Basic Pokemon With An Ability
Flabebe is one of the weakest Psychic Pokemon in terms of HP. However, it makes up for it by being able to automatically put your opponent’s Pokemon to Sleep.
This is also one of the few Pokemon where each stage has an additional effect that comes with its Move. The only downside is that Hypnotic Gaze does not do any damage on its own. It simply stalls the game by forcing your opponent to flip coins if they want to attack you during their turn.
3
Floette
A Cost Effective Stage One
Floette is a neat step up from Flabebe with 70 HP and no increase to its Retreat Cost. Leaf Drain can do 40 damage for one Energy while also being able to provide some healing to Floette.

Pokemon Pocket: 9 Best Underrated Cards
Think twice before dismissing what could be some great deck additions.
Healing ten HP may not seem like much, but it can make a difference in how many attacks it will take your opponent to knock it out. This is just a small taste of what the next Evolution has to offer and a good middle Stage for the line.
2
Florges
Big Damage And Plenty Of Healing
If you manage to Evolve your Flabebe all the way into Florges, then you have one of the best healing Pokemon the Psychic-type has to offer. With a sturdy 120 HP and a two Energy Move that can dish out 80 damage, this Pokemon has decent all-around stats. It even has a Retreat Cost of one.
However, the crowing feature of Florges is that it can heal every one of your Pokemon by 20 each time it attacks. This makes it great for getting your Benched Pokemon back in action.
1
Mew Ex
The Ultimate Copycat
Mewex is one of the most powerful psychic Pokemon because of its ability to copy Moves. This also costs only three Colorless Energy, making Mew ex one of the most splashable ex Pokemon in the game.
Genome Hacking also does not take Energy discards into account unless it is using the exact Energy type specified in the Move’s text. So, if it carries Psychic Energy, copying Mewtwo ex will force Mew ex to discard Psychic Energy. If it has any other type of Energy, the discard is ignored, but you still get to perform the attack.
