Monopoly Go is bringing in the new year with a trio of events. That includes the Deal Of The Year event, which is a one-day leaderboard tournament. As the New Year’s Treasures event is also underway, and is one of those archeology events, you’ll need to grab those pickaxes. This is a short one, as the tournament runs from 1PM EST on December 31 to 1PM EST on January 1.

Earning points in the Deal of the Year leaderboard tournament is simply a matter of landing on Railroad tiles. The amount of points you’ll earn will depend on if you are given the Shutdown or a Bank Heist event once you land on a Railroad tile. Here is a detailed breakdown of how many points you can technically earn:
Points Earned During Deal Of The Year In Monopoly Go
The only way to make real headway is with the thoughtful use of dice roll multipliers. The most common rolls of two dice are 6, 7, and 8. So, keep an eye on how many rolls from a Railroad tile you are. If you are within that range, increase the multiplier. Doing this will tip the odds in your favor and help cement your place at the top of the leaderboards.
As we already indicated in the intro, the primary objective with the Deal Of The Year event is definitely to get those pickaxes so that you can reveal the big treasures in the New Year’s Treasure event that is currently running. There are well over a hundred pickaxes on offer here, which is more than enough to uncover quite a few treasures.
But wait, there’s more! You’ll also be able to cash in on flash event triggers, get sticker packs, rake in the cash, and claim thousands of free dice rolls. With there only being a few weeks left to acquire stickers to fill your Jingle Jam album those sticker packs are more vital now than ever.
But remember, it isn’t just about clearing milestones. You will be rewarded for placing higher than other Monopoly Go players. If you clear more milestones than everyone else, you’ll be rewarded with a pretty massive prize pool. The higher up on the leaderboard you are the better.
