While playing Marvel Rivals, you’ll constantly get one out of the three main game modes at random. While the two modes involving a vehicle mostly have a straightforward play style of either attacking or defending, Domination is the one that has both these elements but doesn’t involve a vehicle.

Marvel Rivals: 5 Pro Tips To Play Vanguard
Vanguard is one of the hardest roles to play in Marvel Rivals since you have to keep track of every enemy and protect your teammates.
In this mode, you first have to capture an area from the enemy and then hold it either by staying in the area or pushing into the enemy spawn. To win this mode, you’ll need characters that are overall good at everything.

Thor
Scare The Enemies Away
Thor is arguably one of the most fun Vanguards to use in Marvel Rivals because of his high mobility and damage, and he’s also one of the best characters to use in Domination. When you’re trying to capture the zone, he can push enemies out of it and make it hard for them to stay inside.
On the other hand, once the zone is captured, Thor can single out the enemies trying to push in by dragging them toward your team. Moreover, you can also push into the enemy spawn with this character and pick them off before they can even get to the capture point.

Peni Parker
No One Is Taking The Objective Back
When it comes to defending a certain objective, especially when it doesn’t move like the vehicle, Peni Parker is your best choice. Once you’ve captured the zone, she can place a bunch of mines and webs around it where she constantly gets healed while the enemy takes massive damage as soon as they jump in.

Once you’re fully set up on the capture point, you can also start trapping the main entries and exits that the enemies have to take. If you hide these traps well, they won’t know what hit them, which will build frustration and make them make mistakes.

Hela
Undoubtedly The Best
If you’ve tried Hela in Marvel Rivals, you likely already know that she’s arguably the best DPS character in the game, which automatically makes her great for this mode as well. All you have to do is stay behind your Vanguard and aim at enemy heads, killing squishes in two shots and tanks in four to five.
In case someone gets close to you, you can easily get away with your bird form or stun them and defeat them instantly. If your aim is good, Hela is one of the most oppressive characters in the game.
4
Psylocke
Pick Them Off
Psylocke is one of the most fun characters to use in Marvel Rivals since she not only has high mobility, but also an invisibility that you can either use to get away or get behind the tanks into the enemy backline. Once you’ve found a squishy, you can shoot them with a few basic attacks and then dash to defeat them.
This character is best played as a poke character in high ranks where you’d constantly want to change your positioning and poke enemies to distract them. Once they overextend to try to get you, you can use all your abilities to get them instead.
3
Winter Soldier
Again!
If you’re an avid Marvel Rivals player, you likely already know the fact that hearing the word “Again!” when there’s no Winter Soldier on your team is a sign of doom. This character already has a ton of damage base kit, and he can also hook enemies to him and prevent them from escaping.

Powerful duelists are easy to come by but hard to master. When you hear him coming, it’s time to run. Here’s how to use him.
However, his main highlight is the ultimate that resets once you defeat an enemy affected by it. If you get the rhythm going, this is one of the easiest ultimates to wipe the team out with, and even prevent them from leaving their base at all.
2
Jeff The Land Shark
Gobble Gobble Gobble
Jeff’s presence on this list is no surprise given that he has one of the best ultimates for both attack and defense. As soon as you see the enemies grouped up, you can gobble them up with Jeff and throw them out of the map. If there’s no place for you to do that, you can still take them far away from the objective.
Other than the phenomenal ultimate and great healing with his abilities, Jeff also allows you to reach the capture point with your team very quickly and he can escape easily in case an enemy gets an ambush on him.
1
Luna Snow
Putting On A Show
One of the worst scenarios to have in the Domination game mode is when the enemies have captured the zone and they’re suppressing your entire team in your spawn itself. Luna Snow can prevent this stalemate by using her ultimate at the right time and allowing your entire team to push out and get back in the fight.
Her team-up ability with Jeff is another reason for these two to work well together since it allows Jeff to get some easy kills himself. Finally, Luna’s quick movement allows her to get back into the battle quickly even if she does get knocked out.
