Helldivers 2 Terminid Enemy Type Tier List

Helldivers 2 Terminid Enemy Type Tier List

Compared to the Automaton enemy faction, fighting against Terminids generally captures more of the power fantasy in Helldivers 2, whereas the new Illuminate faction is more of a middle-ground between the two. While there is still plenty of room for new Terminid enemy units to be introduced in future updates for Helldivers 2, like the highly anticipated Hive Lord, this faction already has a good variety of enemy units.

The upper ranks of the Terminid enemy units in Helldivers 2 are unique enemies that require heavy firepower to defeat, and successfully doing so is often highly satisfying. Meanwhile, the lower ranks of Terminids aren’t as memorable to fight, though they still capture the power fantasy of Helldivers 2 by allowing players to rack up kill streaks that can reach praiseworthy milestones.

S-Tier Terminid Units in Helldivers 2

High-Priority Targets That Are Satisfying to Slay

  • Bile Titan
  • Behemoth Charger
  • Charger
  • Hunter
  • Impaler
  • Shrieker
  • Spore Charger
  • Stalker

Even though most of these enemies aren’t capable of summoning a Bug Breach, players should prioritize killing these Terminid enemies as soon as they are spotted. For Hunters, Shriekers, Stalkers, and Impalers, these enemies are a priority target because they will only turn into a bigger problem the longer they survive. For Bile Titans and the different types of Chargers, though, these enemies are often prioritized not out of necessity but purely for pleasure.

Whenever multiple players are equipped with Support weapons and Stratagem loadouts that are capable of taking down Terminid Bile Titans and Chargers, it becomes a friendly competition to see who can kill these enemies first because of how satisfying it is to defeat such large, towering enemies. Ultimately, few other moments quite manage to capture the peak of Helldivers 2’s power fantasy like slaying these S-tier Terminid enemies with such ridiculously powerful weapons and explosives.

Among these enemies, the Hunter may seem like an odd pick for such high praise as being considered an S-tier enemy unit since Hunters have far less resilience compared to other enemy units. However, the speed of the Hunter and how frequently they can be encountered makes them nearly as deadly as some of the strongest enemy units in Helldivers 2 across any faction, so slaying them is still a highly satisfying accomplishment.

A-Tier Terminid Units in Helldivers 2

Opponents That Balance a Middleground Between Difficulty and Spectacle

  • Alpha Commander
  • Brood Commander
  • Bile Spewer
  • Bile Spitter
  • Hive Guard
  • Nursing Spewer

Although these A-Tier Terminids don’t quite match the sheer power of the faction’s best, these enemies still have armor, unique attacks, or both, which set them apart from the common swarm units nonetheless. Because these enemies can be damaged with a wider variety of weaponry than some of the heavily armored Terminid enemy units, this allows players to bring off-meta loadouts in Helldivers 2 based on personal preference, while still achieving the satisfaction of slaying powerful enemies.

B-Tier Terminid Units in Helldivers 2

A Necessary Evil for Fueling Kill Streaks

  • Alpha Warrior
  • Bile Warrior
  • Pouncer
  • Scavenger
  • Warrior

The common, swarm enemy units are a necessary part of the Terminid enemy faction in Helldivers 2, though they naturally pale in comparison to the more unique enemy types. While common enemies like these are great for racking up high kill streaks, they aren’t memorable to fight otherwise. It’s best not to underestimate the common Terminid enemies, though oftentimes it’s more productive to outrun these enemies instead of standing to fight them unless it’s necessary to prevent a Bug Breach from being triggered.

In general, explosive weapons are highly efficient at killing Terminids in Helldivers 2 since they tend to fight and travel in packs.
