A new customized Destiny 2 Warlock Guardian build turns willing players into one of the ultimate avatars of the Dark Side of the Force: Starkiller. The costume uses an arrangement culled from thousands of Destiny 2 armor pieces to replicate the Sith Lord’s menacing character design.
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed and its sequel remain two of the most iconic Star Wars games ever produced. Featuring some of the greatest Star Wars game set pieces ever devised, the Force Unleashed games gave players the feeling of being a truly powerful Force-wielder for the first time. This was in part thanks to their focus on alternative fiction, casting players in the role of Starkiller, a secret apprentice of Darth Vader himself and a would-be Sith-in-training with Force potential to rival Emperor Palpatine. Journeying around the galaxy as Vader’s assassin and, later, as a fighter against the Empire, millions of players enjoyed the ability to use force powers well in excess of what’s been shown onscreen in the canonical Star Wars movies.

Why Star Wars: The Force Unleashed May Be Better Left to the Past
The Force Unleashed’s Starkiller was one of the most powerful Force-users seen in Star Wars, but he may not be seen again for other reasons.
Proof of the impression Vader’s apprentice made on players is in Starkiller’s seeming appearance in Destiny 2, via a customized Warlock costume created by DestinyFashion Reddit community member BattedBook5. Their costume uses one of the many armor parts available for Destiny 2 transmogs to replicate the appearance of “Lord Starkiller.” This vision of the character is an alternative, cyber-augmented version seen in DLC released for 2010’s Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, which follows a timeline where Starkiller murdered Darth Vader and became the Emperor’s new Number Two.
Destiny 2 Starkiller Costume Brings an Alternative Dark Lord of the Sith to Life

While the regular appearance of Starkiller in Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is based on the likeness of real-life actor Sam Witwer, the Lord Starkiller that inspired the Destiny 2 costume is fully armored, their face covered by a Mandalorian-like helmet and mask. To get the effect, BattedBook5 combined the appearances of the classic Iron Companion hood from Destiny 2‘s Iron Banner mode and the strapped, armored apeparance of the Eagle’s Robes from the Assassin’s Creed crossover costumes. Another dose of Star Wars‘ classical “lived-in” aesthetic comes from the strap-covered Thunderhead Gloves and the slightly mechanical-looking Hexer Bond class item and the Geomag Stabilizers, a popular pair of Warlock Exotic Boots.
Players praised the costume and its creator, saying that they “nailed” the appearance of one of the most popular Star Wars game characters, one powerful enough to defeat Darth Vader in boss battles multiple times. One commenter even pointed out the fact that the costume is also Star Wars-themed in combat, since the Geomag Stabilizers are a good choice of Exotic armor for Warlocks using the Stormcaller subclass. Like the Sith, the Stormcaller loves to cast lightning-based attacks.
