Today’s Epic Games Store freebie is Orcs Must Die 3, a co-op tower defense strategy game where you’ll pummel, squish, shoot, and explode waves of orcs, ideally with some friends in tow. It’s another great offering following a series of back-to-back free EGS games like Kill Knight, Hot Wheels Unleashed, and Ghostrunner 2.
First released back in 2020 as a timed Google Stadia exclusive, Orcs Must Die 3 eventually made its way to Steam in 2021, where it still boasts a ‘very positive’ user rating. It’s a third-person tower defense game best enjoyed in co-op, and it’s all about fending off orcs with your sizeable arsenal and creatively placed traps. It’s straightforward, action-heavy fun that’s ideal for some short multiplayer sessions.
Orcs Must Die 3 is free from the Epic Games Store until tomorrow, December 30, at 8am PT / 4pm GMT, when it’ll be switched out for another free game.
