How To Save Zalissya (On The Edge Side Mission)

After completing the main mission at the SIRCAA facility in Stalker 2, players may have noticed that Zalissya is no longer on the list of places you can fast-travel through a guide. This may seem like a bug, but you must head out on foot to uncover what’s going on in Zalissya. After getting near the base, you’ll receive a transmission from Gaffer asking for help to defend Zalissya against the Monolith attack. This will start the On the Edge mission, which involves saving Zalissya and getting operational by helping out resident stalkers.

Players can unlock “Curiouser and Curiouser!” achievement if they get all Arch Artifacts in Stalker 2 in these locations of Anomalous Zones.

Defending Zalissya from Monolith Invasion

After reaching Zalissya, you’ll notice that the base is in ruins and a bunch of Monolithian soldiers are attacking everyone there. First, you’ll need to head into the base and clear out all the attacking Monolith soldiers.

Make sure to only fire at Monolith soldiers and not attack stalkers defending Zalissya. You can double-check if your cursor stays white or turns green when aiming at soldiers before pulling the trigger. If you shoot a soldier defending Zalissya more than once, it will fail the entire mission and the settlement will fall.

Once you’re done clearing out Monolith soldiers, head inside the Ward building and talk to Gaffer sitting inside to start the On the Edge side quest. He’ll ask you to track down Uncle Lyonya, who was a Monolithian, and take him down.

How to Find Warlock’s Weapon (Optional)

Talking to Warlock, he’ll explain how there are two objectives Skif needs to complete for him to get things back on track. The first of the two objectives is to find Warlock’s gun in Lens’ workshops and retrieve it for him.

After the conversation finishes, head towards the Lens workshop in Zalissya and enter it. Head straight forward towards the workbench and look to the left side to spot Warlock’s rifle “Partner” lying against the wall. Bring it back to Warlock to complete the objective.

Bring Hamster Back to the Base (Optional)

The next task on the list for Warlock is bringing Hamster back to the base so he can share supplies with the survivors in Zalissya. Head towards the Emission shelter in Zalissya to encounter Hamster and his guard.

After a brief confrontation, players can either choose to threaten Hamster, which may lead to a fight with him, or this can be resolved peacefully by keeping Hamster alive. If you want Hamster to keep operating as Zalissya’s vendor, go with the peaceful route here.

Talk to Hamster’s bodyguard and ask how much he is paying him for protection. After a quick conversation, you’ll need to pay the guard 6000 coupons, after which he’ll head back to Zalissya, taking Hamster with him.

Find Mykolayich’s Medical Kit to Help Lens (Optional)

Another NPC that you can optionally help is Mykolayich, who’s looking after a critically wounded Lens. His medical supplies have gone missing, and he needs Skif to find them. This will aid in Lens getting back in shape and becoming active as a technician for the Zalissya base again.

After completing the conversation, the location of three Gaffer supply chests will be marked on the map. You’ll need to visit the locations for all the chests in hopes of finding the medical kit for Mykolayich. Once the kit is found, return back to him to hand it over. He’ll thank you for them and start treating Lens.

Taking Out Monolithian Scouts (Optional)

Right outside the Ward office, you’ll find Slavko Pharmacist, who’ll inform Skif that there’s a group of Monolithian scouts standing above the hill. He’ll urge you to take them out to avoid another attack from the Monolith.

This objective is quite simple as you’ll need to traverse up the hill and simply take out the two Monolithian scouts located there. Once the scouts are taken care of, the objective will be marked as complete without needing to return to Slavko.

Track Down and Eliminate Uncle Lyonya

Now, you can finally do the main objective of the On the Edge side mission in Stalker 2, locating and taking out Uncle Lyonya. Start by heading over to Uncle Lyonya’s hut right outside Zalissya on the location marked on your map.

After reaching the hut, change the frequency of the radio inside to hear a conversation between Monolithian soldiers and Uncle Lyonya. After a brief moment, he’ll arrive right outside the hut with Monolithian soldiers to attack Skif. Fend off the attack and eliminate Uncle Lyonya once and for all.

Loot his body afterward to recover Uncle Lyonya’s PDA, which has an important message that you can listen to on your back to Zalissya. Talk to Gaffer and tell him that all the objectives are completed to finish the On the Edge side mission. You’ll be rewarded with a SEVA suit that has PSI protection.
