How to Catch Hippocampus in Dreamlight Valley
To get your hands on Hippocampus, you’ll need to visit the Mythopia biome of Storybook Vale. This sea creature is only found in Mythopia, so you won’t find it anywhere else. You can unlock Mythopia by giving Merida 2,000 Story Magic. If you are low on Story Magic, you can complete some Storybook Duties to earn more.
Once you’re in Mythopia, open your map and head over to any water body. There, look for white ripples in the water and throw in your fishing rod. If you’re familiar with the fishing mechanic in DDV, you’d know that white ripples indicate the most common fish. Expectedly then, the Hippocampus shouldn’t be hard to catch. Just stay patient like a good fisherman, and you’ll get it soon.
As always, you have the option to bring a fishing buddy with you. They might help you get an extra Hippocampus every time you catch one. For that, go to a villager who specializes in the fishing role and choose the ‘Let’s Hang Out’ option. Just keep in mind that you’ll need to reach friendship level two to unlock this feature.
