Look Good, Feel Good, Play Good
Right from the start, fans immediately listed the FAD as one of the worst-looking guns in the series’ history. The FAD, an acronym for Fusil Automático Doble, appeared in the original Modern Warfare 3 and Ghosts.
“This is one of the guns that is genuinely so f******** hideous I refused to use it in both games,” a user shared. According to an old YouTube video, they likely weren’t missing out on much, as the FAD boasted some of the weakest damage output in the game. Still, that’s a rather strong stance.
In more modern opinions, one user shared that the Goblin from Black Ops 6 was a hideous piece of hardware. It turns out, they’re not alone, as multiple Reddit threads and YouTube videos are dedicated to complaining about it.
“My vote as well, thing actually makes me sick,” a user wrote in response. Yikes!
And in an unfortunate twist, one user shared that nearly every combination in Vanguard, the series’ 2021 entry, is hideous. “The one game I can make bad*** WW2 weapons into ugly goofy WW2 weapons,” a user affirmed.
It turns out they’re not entirely wrong about that. Beyond the addition of weapon skins, things can get goofy really quickly with some of the attachments. So much so that a content creator dedicated a series of videos to “Cursed Vanguard Guns.”
The rest of the thread is filled with similar levels of disgust for weapons from throughout COD’s long history. Some of the guns included were genuinely useful, but the designs were so off-putting to some of these fans that they never saw the light of day. Who knew that how a gun looks was so important.
