Regardless of whether you play quick match or competitive in Marvel Rivals, the actual mode you get is always randomized. There are a total of three modes, and two of them revolve around a vehicle that you have to escort from one place to another if you’re playing on the attacking side.

Marvel Rivals: How To Counter Iron Fist
Iron Fist might hit hard, but with the right moves, you’ll have him punching air in no time.
To get this vehicle moving, you’ll first have to get rid of the enemies guarding it and then stay in its radius to keep it moving. Doing all this becomes much easier if you use characters that are phenomenal on attack.

Bruce Banner
Hulking out!
If you’ve watched any Marvel movies with The Hulk in them, you’d know that it’s lore-accurate for him to be great at attacking. Thankfully, Marvel Rivals has kept this personality by making him an aggressive Vanguard who has various abilities to get close to the enemy’s backline and disrupt them from within.
Bruce Banner has three forms with some shared abilities in each one. He mainly does damage in both his Hulk forms, with significantly higher output with Monster Hulk. He can also knock back enemies and stunlock them for a long time in this form, making it a great character for pushing.

Thor
Pick Out Enemy Squishies
Thor is arguably one of the most fun tanks to use in the game due to his high mobility and damage if used correctly. Thor starts with three Thorforce shown as the hammers in the middle of the screen, and every ability you use consumes this force to give you bonus health, which massively boosts your tankiness.
When you have all three hammers filled, you can use the Awakening Rune ability to deal high-ranged damage to nearby enemies, which will easily let you take a squishy character out of the picture as long as you trigger it at the right time.

Hela
No One Can Stop Her
If you’ve played Marvel Rivals even for a bit, you’ve probably already seen a lot of people playing Hela on both the attack and defense sides. This is because she’s undoubtedly the most broken character in the game with the amount of damage and utility she possesses.
Apart from being able to two-shot enemies with a headshot, she can also get away with her bird form and even stun enemies trying to get close to her. She’s especially good on attack since you can just stay back and force the enemies to hide as they’d get obliterated if they come into your crosshair.

Iron Fist
Get In The Back Line
When you’re on the attack side, the one thing you don’t want is a stalemate where the enemies can prevent you from entering the area around the vehicle simply by having a bunch of ranged characters constantly shooting the path. Iron Fist is the perfect character to prevent these scenarios with his sneaking abilities.
All you have to do is get around the side and reach the enemy Strategists or Duelists. There are hardly any characters that can win against Iron Fist in close range, and after you pick off one of them, they’ll have to back out and let your team get closer.
3
Spider-Man
Same As Iron Fist, Just Cooler
Spider-Man has the same role on the attack side as Iron Fist. The only difference is that he’s much harder to use but also much more frustrating for the enemies when you play him well. This character can easily fly above the enemies and reach the back line before anyone notices, but the real test starts there.

Spider-Man is one of the more challenging Duelists to play in Marvel Rivals. Here’s how to become a web-slinging master with him!
Once you’re in the back line, you have to single out enemies and hit them with your web constantly to deal higher damage. The idea is to get a quick assassination, get away, and wait for your next prey.
2
Jeff The Land Shark
Gobble Them Up
Jeff is undoubtedly one of the most fun characters to play in Marvel Rivals, and he’s also one of the most impactful on the attack side. Apart from being able to consistently heal allies, he can also throw out bubbles that can give massive healings to your tanks as they try to push the enemies back.
Moreover, if push comes to shove, you can also use Jeff’s ultimate to gobble up a few enemies and either take them away from battle or throw them off the map. With Luna Snow in the team, you can also deal decent damage with this character at certain intervals.
1
Mantis
More Damage Is Good
Whenever you’re playing a game of Marvel Rivals, you’ll see the same characters on both sides quite often. If you’re on the attack and the characters in your team and the enemy are similar, the enemies will have an advantage since they simply have to sit in an area and defend, which is where Mantis comes in.
Mantis has abilities to buff both her and her teammates’ damage, which can be huge for characters like Hawkeye, Iron Fist, or Hela since it allows them to delete enemies very quickly. Keep in mind, that the more enemies you defeat, the faster you’ll be able to push.
