With the release of Marvel Rivals, both superhero and shooter fans are being treated to a pretty exciting experience. They have been spending hours fighting their way through iconic Marvel heroes, beating back powerhouse heroes and villains. As Marvel Rivals‘ first full season looms on the horizon, there are even more exciting adventures in store for players. But, while that all sounds enticing, there is one area that the studio really needs to consider exploring.
As of now, Marvel Rivals offers a wide selection of customization options for players to get their hands on. There are countless skins to collect, emotes and tags to use, and an assortment of profile banners to earn. All of that may be fun to discover and collect, but there is one customization feature that Marvel Rivals could do wonders with: announcer packs. With the wide roster of superheroes that Marvel is known for, the potential for exciting announcer packs is seemingly endless.

Marvel Rivals Could Do Wonders With Announcer Packs
Marvel Rivals Could Tap Into its Roster For Unique Announcers
As of right now, every single match in Marvel Rivals is announced by Galacta. She tells players when the game begins, gives them updates on what is going on, and manages pretty much every single aspect of the conflict. While her inclusion makes sense as she plays a major role in the story, she should not be the only one who gets to narrate the fight. In fact, there are so many different Marvel characters that could shine in that role, many of whom already play a part in Marvel Rivals.
- Captain America
- Groot
- Hela
- Iron Man
- Loki
- Spider-Man
Captain America could root for players through all sorts of motivational speeches, while Groot could add a comedic twist to the announcing as players would have no idea what he was saying. Hela or Loki could mock them, Iron Man could provide all sorts of snarky comments, and Spider-Man would engage in classic Spidey shenanigans as he keeps players informed on what is happening. And while these may be some of the more obvious announcers, NetEase could truly fit whoever it wanted into the role.
Marvel Has Tons of Characters That Could Shine as Announcers
The announcer packs would not have to just be relegated to Marvel Rivals‘ massive roster either, as there are so many other Marvel characters that could shine within the role. Already, Galacta does not appear as a playable character, and as of now, there is no news about if she will. So, it would make a lot of sense for NetEase to continue pulling from the wider Marvel universe, from both comic books and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
There are so many different characters that feel tailor-made for a role like that, even if some of them may not be great additions to the character roster. Nick Fury feels like an obvious choice to lead players through the battles, and similarly the likes of J.A.R.V.I.S or F.R.I.D.A.Y have already spent much of their time telling Iron Man what is happening. Professor X spends his whole life guiding heroes, and even Agatha Harkness or the Ancient One could serve as a unique fit for this role.
There is seemingly limitless potential for Marvel Rivals announcer packs, and hopefully, the studio is interested in delving into the concept. These packs would not only serve as great additions to the battle pass but could also be fantastic rewards for hero challenges and store cosmetics. Whatever form they come in, players would likely love shaking up their experience further with items such as this.
