I Think Hopper Should Have This Kind Of Storyline In Stranger Things Season 5
Jim Hopper (David Harbour) has been through a lot on Netflix’s Stranger Things, and I have high hopes for his beloved and compelling character.
Cassandra (Feb 6, 2025)
Starring Mina Tander as Samira, Cassandra is a six-episode miniseries about a family moving into a smart home in Germany. The title of the series comes from the name of the electronic assistant who comes with the house. As people can probably guess, this house isn’t what it seems, and there is terror within its walls.
Like the Blumhouse horror movie Afraid about a smart home, Cassandra sounds like a fascinating look at how technology and humans interact. Although it’s unclear how many episodes will be in a returning Netflix series like Wednesday, it’s always satisfying to watch a show that has only six episodes. There is no room for filler and the focus is often on developing the characters and making sure the sci-mystery is explained properly.
Zero Day (Feb 20, 2025)
A story about a worldwide cyberattack is always going to sound promising. Add in a cast that includes Angela Bassett, Lizzy Caplan, Robert De Niro, Jesse Plemmons, and Connie Britton, and a hit TV show is on the horizon. Zero Day will premiere on Netflix in February 2025 and sounds like a fascinating political thriller.
According to Deadline, the trailer for Zero Day is now out. De Niro’s character, George Mullen, a former President, explains in the trailer:
“Three thousand, four-hundred, two people died on Zero Day. Plane crashes, train derailments. Total chaos.”
From World War II spy thrillers to Mike Flanagan’s horror series, fans of pulse-pounding, action-packed, and gripping TV shows can always find something to watch. Zero Day is uniquely appealing thanks to its star-studded cast and striking premise. Fans of political dramas such as The West Wing will want to become invested in another compelling tale, especially one that is about a gripping event like a cyberattack.
Black Mirror Season 7
Ready for one of the most disturbing and devastating TV shows to come back to Netflix? In September 2024, viewers were happy to hear about the talented cast members of Black Mirror season 7. They include Harriet Walter, Issa Rae, Rashida Jones, Cristin Miloti, Tracee Ellis Ross, Chris O’Dowd, and Awkwafina.
Although there is no official release date yet for Black Mirror season 7, fans can expect more thrilling and terrifying tales about evil people using technology. The best Black Mirror episodes explore family, love, hopes, dreams, and people being put in strange and unimaginable situations. There’s no doubt that the latest season will deliver just as many compelling twists and thought-provoking endings.
Wednesday Season 2 (2025, Release Date TBD)
Wednesday season 2 is one of the most anticipated 2025 Netflix shows and fans loved the recently released sneak peek Wednesday photo. Jenna Ortega will reprise her role as the Goth Addams Family teenager who enjoys her bitter, sarcastic sense of humor and doesn’t want to conform to the world around her. This time around, Wednesday Addams will face a stalker who may or may not be a Nevermore Academy student or teacher. There are many other reasons to get excited about the second season, including cast members such as Haley Joel Osment and Steve Buscemi.
As Ortega told Variety, fans can expect more horror and less love in Wednesday season 2. The actress said:
“I think we want to lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more because it is so lighthearted and I think a show like this, with vampires and werewolves and super powers, you don’t want to take yourself too seriously. I think that we’re kind of ditching any romantic love interest for Wednesday, which is really great.”
Stranger Things Season 5 (2025, Release Date TBD)
Stranger Things season 5 will finally premiere in 2025, and while fans don’t know the exact release date, at least they are closer than ever before to seeing what Vecna (Jamie Campbell Brown) does next. There are so many questions that need to be addressed, like whether the characters will move out of Hawkins, Indiana and whether couples like Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) will say goodbye or remain together. While fans aren’t ready to say goodbye, they’ve been waiting for the final season since season 4 streamed in the spring and summer of 2022.
After the Stranger Things cast finished filming, Brown posted a video message for fans on her Instagram account. According to USA Today, she said:
“Isn’t graduation supposed to bring relief, like you’re glad to leave behind the teachers and classmates? Not me. I am nowhere near ready to leave you guys. I love each and every one of you, and I’ll forever carry the memories and bonds we’ve created together as a family. I love you. Thank you.”
