Honkai: Star Rail has officially revealed a new five-star character named Tribbie, who is expected to join the roster in one of the upcoming updates. Developer HoYoverse continues to expand Honkai: Star Rail‘s roster with each update, with approximately two new characters arriving per update.

The ongoing Version 2.7 has introduced the long-awaited Sunday in the first banner cycle and Fugue, who is currently available on the limited banner alongside Firefly. HoYoverse has previously confirmed that there won’t be a 2.8 update, meaning the game will go straight to Version 3.0, which indicates some sizable changes.

Honkai: Star Rail‘s official social media accounts have surprisingly released a new character announcement introducing a new five-star unit named Tribbie. According to the official announcement, Tribbie, also known as the Holy Maiden of Janusopolis, is a divine being split into multiple personalities. The post reveals three of them: Tribbie the Messenger, Trianne the Gatekeeper, and Trinnon the Priest. Many fans seem excited to explore Tribbie’s story, as the post suggests that she carries the prophecy of deliverance, tasked with finding those with “golden blood” to destroy dark powers and guide humanity toward a bright future. The official art confirms that Tribbie will follow Honkai: Star Rail‘s Path of Harmony, which indicates that she may have powerful supportive characteristics.

Harmony characters in Honkai: Star Rail are known for their ability to provide various buffs to the whole team composition or the main damage dealer. Regarding her damage type, Tribbie is confirmed to be a Quantum user, making her the 10th character to use this type in Honkai: Star Rail. As for her release date, while HoYoverse has not officially confirmed when she will join the roster, players can expect Tribbie to arrive in update 3.1.

Based on the game’s usual update schedule, Honkai: Star Rail 3.1 should drop around the end of February. The only confirmed detail about her release is that she won’t appear in the upcoming Honkai: Star Rail update 3.0, as she is not part of the current beta. HoYoverse has already confirmed that two new five-star units will be featured in 3.0: The Herta and Aglaea.

The Herta will arrive as a new five-star form of an existing four-star unit, simply called Herta. There seems to be more hype around Aglaea, as she will introduce a new class known as the Path of Remembrance. This path could heavily impact Honkai: Star Rail‘s meta, as it will primarily focus on deploying and supporting summons.
