A talented Pokemon fan online has shared their awesome fan art, which creates new forms for both Combee and its female evolution, Vespiquen. This Pokemon artwork puts an extremely creative spin on the Generation 4 designs.

Redditor nAndaluz shared their epic piece of Pokemon fan art, which turns Combee and Vespiquen into Vespaqueen and Combwheel. The designs are pretty similar to the originals, with one key difference: they’re on wheels. It’s a fun take on the classic Generation 4 Pokemon, with some clever names to boot. They’ve even included shiny designs for both, which are bright red versions of the originals. According to nAndalu, they “made these solely because of the pun.” Another gamer in the thread posted an image of Borderlands‘ Claptrap, and the comparison between it and Vespaqueen is definitely worth noting.

New Pokemon Fan Art Puts Vespiquen and Combee on Wheels

The addition of forms to the Pokemon series has been massive when it comes to fan art. Things like regional and paradox forms have opened up new possibilities for Pokemon designs, which fans have responded to with creations of their own. For example, one Pokemon fan imagined a human form for Roserade with their fan art, transforming another Generation 4 design. With over 1,000 Pokemon designs in total now, the only limit to fan art is people’s creativity.

It’s set to be an interesting couple of years for the Pokemon franchise. 2025 is set to see the release of Pokemon Legends: Z-A, while 2026 marks the series’ 30th anniversary. While nothing is confirmed at the moment, it’s hard to imagine Game Freak letting the occasion go unmarked. Earlier this year, a Pokemon leak suggested that Generation 10 is coming to the Switch 2, with further rumors of a 2026 release. While nothing is confirmed, that would line up with the franchise’s big anniversary, so gamers should watch this space.
