Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are expressing their frustrations with free-for-all, an iconic game mode that has featured in every mainline title since the franchise’s inception. The objective is to be the first player to score thirty eliminations in a single match, but some Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are experiencing a serious bug that is preventing them from picking up the win, even if they are the first player to reach the required score limit.
While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been a massive success for publisher Activision and developer Treyarch Studios, this annoying free-for-all bug is just one of the many problems that have plagued the shooter since its launch on October 25. One of the most prevalent issues affecting players right now is cheaters in Black Ops 6 and Warzone’s ranked play modes, making it borderline unplayable for many. While Treyarch is continuing to update the game’s anti-cheat system to counteract the many cheaters, fans appear to have had enough.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Frustrated With Free-For-All Bug
With Call of Duty‘s player count starting to decline, the last thing Black Ops 6 needs is another game-breaking bug. Unfortunately, there’s still a prevalent issue with the shooter’s free-for-all mode, as players are still reporting a glitch that is preventing some from winning. Over on Reddit, user Eye_Of_Apollo is bringing attention to a bug that sees some players reach the mode’s score limit but still receive a loss. As shown in the images provided by the user, the player was the only one to reach a score of 30, which means they should be the one emerging victorious. Unfortunately, the player was then met with a “defeat” screen and another loss on their record.
The user goes on to explain that since the beginning of Black Ops 6 Season 1, they have recorded over 200 instances where they have reached the score limit in free-for-all, only to be given a loss. Many other users appear to be experiencing the same issue too. Reddit user Raydeeoo0818 says this bug has “drove me nuts” since the launch of Season 1, before going on to state that they don’t know how Treyarch hasn’t fixed this issue yet. Some are speculating that the bug is due to Black Ops 6 classifying assists as eliminations, which could be why free-for-all is incorrectly giving other players the win.
Unfortunately, this is just one of the many bugs players are experiencing. To celebrate the holiday season, Treyarch kicked off a new event known as Archie’s Festival Frenzy. However, the mode was quickly made redundant as Black Ops 6 players were able to instantly unlock the event rewards due to an unusual glitch that was granting certain players with thousands of Jolly Archies, which is the in-game currency for the event. Shortly after the event began, Treyarch announced that all players would be receiving the rewards at the end of the event, regardless of the progression made.
