Genshin Impact has officially revealed two new weapons that will arrive in the upcoming version 5.3. The Special Program event for Genshin Impact 5.3 previously confirmed that this update will feature three new roster additions: the Pyro Archon Mavuika, the Cryo support Citlali, and Liyue’s new four-star unit Lan Yan.

To the surprise of many players, Mavuika and Citlali will both arrive in the first banner phase despite having five-star rarity. The second part of the update is reserved for Lan Yan, who will likely play a significant role in the upcoming Lantern Rite Festival, one of Genshin Impact‘s main annual events.

Genshin Impact reveals the complete kit for their upcoming Pyro Archon, Mavuika, who is scheduled to arrive in the first phase of Version 5.3.

Weapons play a large role in the build of most characters, significantly impacting their power on the field. With each new roster addition, Genshin Impact introduces a signature weapon that perfectly fits the new character’s playstyle. Genshin Impact‘s official X account has revealed the stats of the two new weapons that will arrive in update 5.3. The first weapon is called A Thousand Blazing Suns, and it will serve as the go-to weapon for the Pyro Archon Mavuika. The weapon will significantly increase its user’s ATK and CRIT DMG. The second weapon is Starcaller’s Watch, and its main asset is increasing Elemental Mastery and the active character’s damage.

Genshin Impact: Mavuika and Citlali Weapons Revealed

A Thousand Blazing Suns (Claymore)

  • Weapon Rarity: 5-star
  • Base ATK: 741
  • CRIT Rate (R1): 11%
  • Passive: Gain an effect called Scorching Brilliance when using an Elemental Skill or Burst, which increases CRIT DMG by 20% and ATK by 28% for 6 seconds. These effects are increased by 75% when the Nightsoul Blessing state is active, making it a go-to DPS choice for Genshin Impact‘s Natlan characters.

Starcaller’s Watch (Catalyst)

  • Weapon Rarity: 5-star
  • Base ATK: 542
  • CRIT Rate (R1): 26.5%
  • Passive: Increases Elemental Mastery by 100. When the weapon holder creates a shield, the active unit deals 28% increased damage to nearby enemies.

Many fans claim that while Mavuika’s signature weapon will probably be one of the most powerful claymores in Genshin Impact, they dislike the fact that its passive effect is tied to the Nightsoul system, which is exclusive to Natlan characters. Recent Genshin Impact leaks have also revealed that the weapon will feature a special animation whenever Scorching Brilliance is active.

Starcaller’s Watch will be an excellent fit for Citlali’s playstyle, which revolves around shielding potential. It could also be a great choice for Genshin Impact‘s catalyst supports who can provide shields. It should be noted that the values provided in the announcement are for Refinement Level 1.
