Kill the Justice League Last Season May Have a Big Omission

Kill the Justice League Last Season May Have a Big Omission

After three seasons of content, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to end its post-launch stream with season four. Not only does it bring the game’s story to a close, but it also give players the long-awaited offline mode and finally adds Deathstroke to the team. Additionally, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League players can expect many seasonal staples, including new weapons and a brand-new map. However, Rocksteady seems to have omitted one important thing from this final patch.

The main story of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has followed the vile Brainiac as he attempts to conquer the multiverse. With each season, players have sent their squad after him hoping to take him down. But this latest roadmap does not seem to mention a brand-new version of the Brainiac fight anywhere. While there is a chance that he will show up sometime down the line, as of now, it seems that story may have come to a close. If so, that could hurt the game’s final adventure immensely.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’s Antagonist Brainiac Remains Unbeaten

Brainiac Has Appeared in Every Single Content Patch So Far

Since the beginning of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, Brainiac has been the main antagonist fighting to control the world. He has taken over Metropolis, captured the Justice League, and brainwashed them to do his bidding. It is up to the Suicide Squad to take the heroes out and hopefully defeat Brainiac in the process. What ensues is a wild adventure that sees players traverse the city, fight back against hordes of creatures, and take on Brainiac in multiple different worlds.

In the base game, players get to explore two different worlds that Brainiac has taken over. The main story then ends by revealing that there are 12 Brainiacs hiding in the multiverse, and it is up to the Suicide Squad to find them. Each season since has done just that, giving players two different Brainiac fights each time, with season three giving them three. As of now, however, it doesn’t seem like season four will continue that trend for some reason.

Suicide Squad’s Final Patch Seems to Be Leaving Him Out of the Fun

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League‘s fourth season is set to be the last, and it currently does not appear to end with a Brainiac fight if the roadmap is anything to go by. Instead, players can expect Deathstroke, new weapons, a new zone, an offline mode, and a new battle pass. While there may be a Brainiac boss battle hidden somewhere there, this is the first post-launch roadmap that has not explicitly mentioned one, so it currently seems like Rocksteady is aiming to close out the story off-screen.

Since Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League season four is set to be the final season, players likely want it to come to a satisfying conclusion. However, they may only get said conclusion through audio recordings, offhand comments, or simply be left wondering just what happened to Brainiac. It remains to be seen if that is truly the case, but as of now, it feels like this title may end with a whimper.

There is a chance that Rocksteady is just leaving the final battle a mystery to surprise its audience. Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League has been built around the multiversal battle with Brainiac, and not putting a focus on it in the last season just feels like an odd design choice. Of course, there could be many behind-the-scenes reasons why the character may not appear, but hopefully players get to see his final confrontation in some manner before the game closes its doors forever.
