How To Get Predator Core

How To Get Predator Core

The Palworld Feybreak update introduced a new type of pals known as Predator Pals. Players who have faced Alpha Pals can easily recognize their overwhelming power compared to regular pals, with Predator Pals falling somewhere in between. These newly added Predator Pals function as mini-bosses that players can encounter while exploring the Palpagos Islands.

Although Predator Pals feature a boss bar like Alpha Pals, they cannot be caught using pal spheres. These fierce creatures are the exclusive source of a rare resource called Predator Cores. This new item serves as a crucial ingredient for crafting advanced technologies, including the Meowmere Sword, introduced through the Terraria collaboration. In this guide, you will discover the best locations to farm Predator Cores and explore their various uses in Palworld.

How to Get Predator Cores in Palworld

Palworld - Predator Core

Predator Cores are a guaranteed drop from Predator Pals, which can be found in every region of Palworld. You can identify a Predator Pal by its distinctive glowing aura and a boss bar displaying “Rampaging” above the pal’s name. Upon defeating a Predator Pal, you can obtain one to four Predator Cores, depending on the pal’s level.

Although Palpagos Island is quite large, there are only 33 Predator Pals available to fight across Palworld. While these enemies can respawn after being defeated, their respawn chances are frustratingly low. Fortunately, you can roam the area and return later to check if the Predator Pal has reappeared.

When you visit the listed coordinates, the Predator Pal might not always appear immediately. Move away from the spawn point and return after a few minutes, as these pals do not have a 100% spawn rate like Alpha Pals. Roaming around the area can help trigger their appearance. If you’ve already defeated a Predator Pal, you will need to wait until the next in-game day for it to respawn.

What Do Predator Cores Do In Palworld?

Predator Cores have limited uses in Palworld, primarily for unlocking the Meowmere weapon and expanding inventory slots. As part of the Feybreak update, Palworld introduced the Meowmere, a new melee weapon featuring an adorable ranged attack that launches cats at enemies.

In addition to this charming sword, Predator Cores are essential for crafting pouches, which increase your inventory slots when equipped. After farming Predator Pals, you can use the Predator Cores they drop to craft the following items:

Item

Materials Required

Technology Level

Meowmere

3 Predator Cores, 22 Ingots, 22 Paldium Fragments, 22 Coal

30

Small Pouch

1 Predator Core, 20 Fiber, 10 Leather

In the future, Palworld may introduce more uses for Predator Cores. For now, however, you will only need a total of 39 Predator Cores to craft all items that require this resource.
