One of the most exciting features of Fisch is the various kinds of bestiaries that you can complete to get rewards. The Northern Expedition Bestiary is probably the most difficult to obtain in the game, due to the difficult conditions for fishing and the number of species you need to catch.
To successfully complete this task, you need to have proper equipment and know all the nuances of fishing in these locations. To help you out, we have prepared a checklist of must-have items you need to take, as well as tell you in detail what bait to use to catch the fish you need.
Northern Expedition Bestiary Guide
Before you go fishing in extreme conditions, you need to take care of your safety. For fishing in the extreme conditions of the Northern Summit, in addition to the usual things like fishing rod and bait, you will definitely need to take the following things with you:
- Winter Cloak – This item will keep your temperature bar high. You should wear it to stay warm and survive the cold winter weather in this area. You can purchase the Winter Cloak at Camps 3 and 5. In fact, it has a pretty affordable price of 7,500C$ and simplifies your survival in this tough location.
- Oxygen Tanks – This tool gives you some additional oxygen so you can reach further areas. It will also allow you to fish longer before you have to replenish your oxygen. You can purchase this item at almost every camp, and the price depends on its type. There are four different oxygen tanks, namely basic, beginner, intermediate, and advanced. You can buy the cheapest one for 1,000C$, while the cost of the most expensive one is 25,000C$.
Once you’re done with the preparations, you can finally go fishing, but collecting the entire Northern Expedition Bestiary is not easy, as it consists of four smaller ones. Each of the smaller bestiaries is tied to a specific location where you will need to fish, so let’s talk about it in more detail.
Overgrowth Caves
As you progress through the Northern Expedition, you will be able to fill up your bestiary relative to the location you are in, and the first waypoint will be Overgrowth Caves. While here, you will be able to catch nine fish:
