Redditor Ferocs chose to raid the Grove with the goblins in Act One of Baldur’s Gate 3, a choice that led to the deaths of all the children there. They may not have struck the killing blow, but their siding with the Goblins certainly led to the deaths. After seeing events go down, this player then decided to stuff all the corpses into a crate, keeping them all in one place like a real Dark Urge player. There are plenty of evil choices to make in Baldur’s Gate 3, but something about this being totally unprompted hits even harder.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Player Inadvertently Kills Grove Children, Stuffs Them Into a Crate
Another gamer in the thread posed another idea, although it won’t be useful for a while. In Baldur’s Gate 3‘s Patch 8, the Death Domain Cleric subclass will allow players to detonate corpses, which will make them useful for Ferocs. If they can hold on until Patch 8 is released for the game, they’ll be able to formidable weapons from the Grove corpses, giving this entire situation an even darker tone.
Patch 8 for Baldur’s Gate 3 will mark the end of an era. After this, it seems that Larian is largely moving on from the game, barring any essential updates that become necessary in the future. Earlier this year, Larian opened a new studio to assist with two new ambitious RPGs, and it’s exciting to know that the gears are already in motion for the developer’s future. Baldur’s Gate 3 has earned Larian plenty of fans, many of whom will certainly stick around to see what the studio produces next.
