Skip and Loafer Season 2 Officially Confirmed

The popular romance anime, Skip and Loafer, has big news for fans. After winning over the audience in 2023, the anime’s second season has officially been confirmed. With this announcement, Skip and Loafer fans can rest easy as one of their favorite anime is bound to return.

At the time of writing, there is no confirmation about the release date of the anime, so it could be a while before the second season starts airing. The official X (formerly Twitter) account for Skip and Loafer also posted special artwork by Misaki Takamatsu in celebration of the announcement.

Skip and Loafer Season 2 Cast & Staff

Skip and Loafer has not announced any new additions or changes to the cast, so fans can expect to see the voice actors from season one reprise their roles.

The staff members who worked on Skip and Loafer’s first season will likely return for the new season. So, Kotomi Deai will direct and write the scripts for the show. Manami Umeshita will handle character designs, while Takatsugu Wakabayashi will compose the music. P.A. Works will produce the anime.

Skip and Loafer Is A Great Slice-Of-Life

Skip and Loafer is written by Misaki Takamatsu, and it began serializing in Kondansha’s Monthly Afternoon in August 2018. Skip and Loafer manga has sold more than 2.3 million copies. While the number isn’t too impressive, Skip and Loafer has already found a loyal fanbase. Needless to say, another season of the anime is bound to improve the sales’ numbers. Skip and Loafer won the 47th Kodansha Manga Award in the general category, proving that it is loved by critics.

Skip and Loafer’s anime adaptation was announced back in November 2021. The anime began airing in April 2023, and it ran for 12 episodes. The second season of the anime is likely to have the same number of episodes.

Skip and Loafer follows Mitsumi Iwakura who moves to a high school in Tokyo. She is not accustomed to the hustle and bustle of city life. On the day of her entrance ceremony, she gets lost. Luckily, Sōsuke Shima sees her and decides to help. Following this incident, the two go to school together every day.
