Palworld Makes Change to Pal Enhancement

Palworld Makes Change to Pal Enhancement

Summary

  • Palworld’s Feybreak update allows players to enhance Pal stats up to 60%, double the original 30% cap.
  • Players can increase stats by collecting Giant Pal Souls from Predator Pals or by crafting them.
  • Hardcore Mode and increased stat enhancement bring new challenges to Palworld players.

Palworld players pointed out that the Feybreak content update allowed Pal statistics to be enhanced to a new total of 60% per statistic thanks to the addition of Giant Pal Souls. Before the Feybreak update, the highest stat boosts in Palworld that were granted via Pal enhancement only went up to 30%, meaning that Feybreak has effectively doubled that cap.

Released on December 23, Feybreak is the largest free content update for Palworld at the time of writing. Alongside the eponymous Feybreak Island, Palworld‘s new patch brought new buildings, Pals, and equipment for players to utilize, such as the Meowmare sword from Terraria as part of a crossover between the two games. Feybreak also brought mechanics such as base productivity research, Pal expeditions, and Predator Pals that cannot be captured. Daring Palworld fans can also try out Hardcore Mode, where perma-death for players and Pals can be enforced on either a new save file or a preexisting one.

Palworld Guild Chests Are Even More Useful Than You Might Think

Palworld’s Guild Chests provide a special function that players are discovering after the launch of the Feybreak expansion update.

Although reaching and exploring Feybreak Island can be challenging, one of the changes made to Palworld should make things easier for diligent players. On the r/palworld subreddit, a Reddit user named TiRyNo shared a screenshot of one of the major changes that Palworld received in the Feybreak update. By accessing a Statue of Power, Palworld players will notice that the Pal stat enhancement cap of 30% has doubled to 60% in Feybreak. Breaking past the 30% mark requires using Giant Pal Souls, a new Pal Soul type added in Feybreak, which can drop from Predator Pals and other higher-level Pals throughout the Palpagos Islands. Alternatively, Giant Pal Souls can be crafted using a Crusher, which requires two Large Pal Souls and a Pal with the Watering trait. TiRyNo stated that it takes 30 Giant Pal Souls each to maximize one stat to the new 60% enhancement cap, for a total of 120 Giant Pal Souls.

Pal Stat Enhancement Can Now Go Up to 60% In Palworld: Feybreak

TiRyNo used one of their Pals, Blazamut Ryu, as an example of the stat enhancement changes made in Feybreak, as it had 828 attack power and 631 defense after reaching the new 60% enhancement cap. With Feybreak Island being home to high-level Pals and NPCs that can one-shot anyone caught unprepared, Palworld players looking to explore the new region should ensure their Pals are up to the task.

Between the changes to stat enhancement and continued fixes for Palworld‘s Feybreak update, the game’s development is not slowing down anytime soon. Only time will tell what Palworld has in store for players in 2025.
