My Hero Academia’s Ending Had A Mixed Reception
My Hero Academia manga ended in August 2024. At the time, most fans were content with the conclusion. However, Horikoshi Kohei added a 30-page epilogue that expanded on the ending. It confirmed that Midoriya Izuku ended up with Ochaco Uraraka. This decision annoyed a lot of fans as they had other expectations for the two characters. Understandably, some fans have different opinions, but going out of your way to post distasteful messages is not the way to go either. Some individuals went as far as blocking the author’s official X (formerly Twitter) account.
Despite some of the negativity, most fans were extremely satisfied with the conclusion, which is evident from the sales of the final volume. According to the report, My Hero Academia’s final volume sold more than a million copies in just a few weeks.
