Hades and Maleficent and two evil powerhouses, but you can bring them together to find a solution to the Neverafter. Despite their pride and stubborn ways, the two want things to go back to normal. Here’s how you can start taking steps to achieve that goal before the Neverafter destroys the Storybook Vale once and for all.
How To Complete The Spark Of Spite Puzzle
After reaching both Hades and Maleficent in the Storybook Vale, you’ll have the chance to reunite them. After completing the Mistress of All Evil and Mount Olympus quests, you can speak with the Lorekeeper about their fiery feud.
While the Lorekeeper can’t remember all the details, the Snippets you captured can help restore her memory. These fragments of the Lorekeeper were stolen by the villains, so make sure to have them stored safely when you meet with her.
Talk to her and choose the option to reorder stories, then select The Spark Of Spite puzzle.
Start by aligning the edges of the picture and work your way in. This is a five-star puzzle, so there are more pieces than usual. Be patient and rotate the pieces so they fit together, then collect your reward and return to the Lorekeeper to discuss what you saw.
How To Craft Invitations
Due to what happened in the past, both Hades and Maleficent feel left out and ignored. To show them that they’re included and respected, you need to craft invitations for them using materials from their respective domains.

Both invitations ask the villains to join in the Library of Lore to discuss the Neverafter and try to find a solution together.
Where To Meet With Maleficent And Hades
After you’ve crafted the invitations, deliver them to Hades and Maleficent. While Hades may be wandering around the village, Maleficent is still locked away in her castle.
Once the invitations are delivered and the villains have agreed to meet, you can head back to the Library of Lore and speak with the Lorekeeper to get started.
This is a point of no return! Starting this meeting will have consequences that impact the story for a time.
When the meeting starts, tensions are high. However, both villains are able to form an unsteady truce while trying to figure out the source of the Neverafter and the ink running amok in the Vale. Before much else can be discussed, the meeting is cut short.
Talk to both Hades and the Lorekeeper about what happened to conclude the quest and continue your adventure in the Vale.
