Summary
- Goku wins strength and power due to his abilities like Ultra Instinct and Instant Transmission.
- Gojo wins speed, intelligence, and techniques, making the fight more balanced with grounded power.
- Outcome of Gojo vs. Goku depends on conditions; Goku’s immense power vs. Gojo’s skills and insight may vary.
Jujutsu Kaisen’s Satoru Gojo and Dragon Ball’s Goku have both made the list of the most iconic anime characters ever. In both cases, the characters have reached the height of strength and power in their respective universes: Gojo, due to his Infinity and Six Eyes, pushing the boundaries of cursed techniques far beyond anything that’s ever been seen before, and Goku simply through his insurmountable training and Saiyan lineage.
Of course, this fight would purely be hypothetical, but it’s also really intriguing to imagine how one might go down, as they’re both nearly impossible to beat in their own verse and have drastically different abilities and power scaling. It’s easy to think that Gojo can’t be compared to Goku because of the scale of the Dragon Ball universe. But it’s still interesting to see how this will play out if they were to fight in certain grounded conditions.
Vegeta vs Sasuke: Who Would Win?
Vegeta from Dragon Ball, or Sasuke from Naruto; which would win in a battle of strength and intelligence?
So You Think You’re Untouchable, Huh
How About Now? Blows Up Earth
Gojo confidently activates his Infinity technique, making himself untouchable, and the fight starts. Goku starts the attack and throws a few punches that are immediately neutralized. Gojo explains what Infinity is, as he did with Jogo. Goku grins, amusingly, and says, “Oh, so you can’t be touched, huh?” Goku turns into Super Saiyan Blue and releases Kamehameha at such a level, it destroys the whole earth. How about now? With Goku’s near-limitless destructive power, Infinity is almost pointless in such a case.
You Hate the Fact That You’re Powerless to Stop me.
If we talk purely about strength and power, then Goku wins that without any contest. Goku’s abilities, like Instant Transmission and Ultra Instinct, allow him to dodge all of Gojo’s attacks and land blows that can shatter planets. Even if Gojo attempted to trap Goku in his Domain Expansion, given Goku’s strength and resilience, it’s hard to imagine that the Unlimited Void would affect him while he is in Ultra Instinct form.
Goku Wins Strength, Endurance, and Power
While Gojo’s powers are godlike within the Jujutsu Kaisen universe, Goku exists in a realm where battles involve universal destruction. This gap in power scaling makes it nearly impossible for Gojo to emerge victorious against the might of Goku at his peak.
Scenario 2: A More Level Playing Field
Nah, He’d Win
To level the playing field, let’s say Goku has to work with more grounded power scaling or is stuck to his original Dragon Ball series abilities. This scenario makes the fight far more balanced because Goku’s abilities are toned down to match Gojo’s level of power. This is where Gojo’s Infinity and Limitless abilities become much more important. Even if Goku is definitely a master of martial arts, he will have a hard time bypassing Gojo’s Infinity as it nulls almost any attack. With his cursed techniques of Blue and Red, Gojo can easily attack Goku from afar and keep him at bay.
Don’t Worry, I’m the Strongest.
If Gojo deploys his Domain Expansion, Goku might just be immobilized, unable to counter the overwhelming amount of information that the Unlimited Void could flood him with. If Goku doesn’t have his planet-shattering energy attacks, and he has to fight in his base form, then this fight could go either way. His intellect and ability to analyze an opponent in real time would make him a hard guy to fight. Gojo could use Reverse Cursed Technique to heal himself and use his speed to stay ahead of Goku.
Gojo Wins Speed, Intelligence, and Techniques
Goku’s adaptability in battle, however, should not be overlooked. He is one of the best martial artists in anime, even without his Saiyan transformations. Gojo may not have any significant weaknesses if he were to fight with a more practically power-scaled Goku. Say from Dragon Ball; Gojo might not be able to beat him easily, but he has a much better chance of winning in that scenario, as he would have much better techniques and dexterity to pull it off.
G.O.A.T. vs. G.O.A.T.
The outcome of Satoru Gojo vs. Goku’s battle all depends on various conditions. If Goku were to fight at full power, there’s not much that Gojo can do, since his sheer scale of power goes straight beyond immeasurable. However, this might not be the case, particularly if the fight is taken on a more grounded level, where Gojo’s insight and skills with Infinity could make him victorious.
In the end, it’s Goku’s journey in Dragon Ball wherein he surpasses the boundaries of his universe, and Gojo is a godlike character in his. While Goku’s victory might be the safest bet, and he may be much more powerful, we have learned from time and time again that strength is not the only thing you need in order to win; it takes a combination of great collision of power, strategy, and techniques. The only dream for fans of both series is that such an iconic crossover will happen in the future.
