Gamer Finds Massive Black Ops 6 Discount at Costco

Summary

  • Costco is selling PS5 copies of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 for just $19.97, though it’s not clear if that’s available in all locations.
  • GameStop offered the game for $34.99 with additional discounts for Rewards members.

A copy of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the latest entry in Activision’s popular series of action-packed military shooters, can be picked up for as low as $20 over at their local Costco, a gamer discovered. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launched to mostly positive reviews on October 25.

Plenty of games received steep discounts recently thanks to holiday sales. Xbox’s ongoing 2024 Countdown Sale significantly brought down the prices of some of the year’s biggest releases, including Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, Dragon’s Dogma 2, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. The latter title’s Sony PlayStation 5 version, however, can apparently be obtained for an even lower price, as long as you have access to Costco.

Activision’s long-running shooter franchise seems to be struggling to maintain its playerbase, at least on PC. SteamCharts data shows that Call of Duty lost more than 62,000 players on the Valve-owned platform a month after the release of its latest entry. This was observed after Activision’s parent company, Microsoft, labeled Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s launch as the biggest in the series’ history.

The first season of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 added several new multiplayer maps, weapons, and skins to the game. It also introduced a fresh Zombies map, Citadelle des Morts, and marked the return of the Christmas-themed CODMAS event. Reloaded, the latter half of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s Season 1, is expected to wrap up on January 28, 2025.
